"The pub is a classic northern rivers pub. Nice outlook from the beer garden. Unfortunately the bar staff we had let the experience down a bit for us. Nice stop in itself, cute little village. Pub looked a bit tired."

"When checking in the lady was busy on the phone and asked her husband to attend to me, unfortunately another guest (who apparently is a regular) came in and was attended to before me. I was upset by this. The room was clean but the toilet seat did not stay up whilst using it."

The rooms and facilities have been updated nicely, and all the amenities described were provided and in perfect working condition. "Was pretty clean and comfortable except Beds are very hard. Well priced but could do with some extras like extra towels and blankets, a hand towel, washing up liquid, a chux to wipe benches, a water jug for the fridge and ice cube trays. Inside was pretty nice but outside is right next to the stables and the smell was pretty bad. Thankfully couldn’t smell it inside with windows closed. Overall good value for money"

"My impression of the Big 4 Big River Holiday Park was a disappointment, over priced for what was on offer. This Park was tidy, but lack shaded areas or greenery, has a very mediocre (small) size gated swimming pool. The two bedroom cabins are very small containing a matchbox size bathroom, the shower floor tiles are extremely slippery, with the shower hot and cold water hard to regulate. The slope down to the riverside from the cabin was too steep if for anyone mobility issues. On the positive side, the outside verandah is generous in size providing a beautiful river view wth adequate seating and at the time of our stay quite being a non school or public holiday time. "
