This place was perfect for our trip. Great view of the ocean and within walking distance to downtown Chatham. The owners were so hospitable and our room was perfect. I honestly can’t say enough good things about this place. We will absolutely be back.

Property is the best beachfront location for the price. Very clean. Beach is literally outside your front door and so easily accessible. Rooms were very clean. A 5 minute drive to Main Street Chatham with so many restaurants nearby. Would stay again.

This was our 4th time staying at the Hawthorne and we plan on returning next year. The location is excellent for so many reasons, i.e, scenic, walking, shopping. The staff is most accommodating and pleasant.

Best place to stay in Chatham for the money. Chatham is a very high end town and most hotel/motel prices reflect that. The Hawthorne isn't anything fancy, but it is very clean, staff helpful and the sea view rooms have a fantastic view. Short drive or walk to Main Street. Would definitely stay here again!

Super clean motel

Stay was great. Had to stay another night because no Ubers on a busy weekend to get to airport so schedule a car:). Place is great, on beach, old school vibe but super clean!

Lovely

Wonderful location. The view of the ocean was breathtaking. Hotel staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Only thing snag was the cable was out, so no TV for the period we were there, not any fault of hotel.

Sadly our stay wasn’t the best. We found a bug in one of our bathroom towels and the walls are paper thin. However, it is a decent place to stay right on the water for a quick trip. The staff was friendly and the beach access was the best part.

This quaint throwback inn was refreshing. Not a lot of bells and whistles. However, those were not missed because the room was quiet for rest, substantial in space, outstanding view, and simply comfortable. In terms of cost it was more expensive than we normally prefer but definitely in line with other Cape Cod/Chatham properties. The staff and managers are outstanding. Grateful we stayed at The Hawthorne Inn.

Overall great service, clean rooms, nice location. Found an earwig in my shower one day so that wasn’t great but that can probably happen sporadically in a lot of places. The AC units could be a little over aggressive with the cooling but once you learned how to work it you could change it to the temperature you want. Main complaint is the blankets are kind of thin on the beds so it could get chilly.

The area is nice and is walking distance to downtown. Room was clean. We had no view. The beach is really small and not well kept . The blonde female who checked us in was not friendly at all. She was eating at the desk so not very professional. One picnic table near a dumpster. It is a 2 star motel - no restaurant, no pool, no activities. You are paying for Chatham location. In my opinion not worth the money.
