Wonderful stay with one minor critique!We had a fantastic time during our stay here. The staff was incredibly welcoming, the service was top-notch, and the overall atmosphere was excellent. Everything from the check-in process to the overall comfort of the room exceeded our expectations.The only area that could use an improvement is the bathroom, which felt a bit dated. However, everything was perfectly clean and fully functional, so it didn't take away from our experience. 9/10- We highly recommend this place and would definitely stay here again!!

Fantastic and beautiful

This must be our 10 th visit over the years I love bringing friends here. The look on their faces as you enter the walls to reveal this gem of a hotel Brilliant check in with friendly staff . We were hot and sticky being 37.c The large pool was open and welcoming The rooms clean and well equipped . Just one of our party had a plumbing issue with the shower Breakfast was beautiful with loads of fresh fruits and yoghurts . Plus hot food if you wanted . Staff very friendly On our second night we ate the restaurant in the hotel. Although very busy with a large group the staff were great and one of the best meals was had by all. Our group of seven throughly enjoyed the hotel has many antique artifacts as is like a living museum Will be staying again next year

What an amazing hotel ! It's split into two halves, with the dining (and much more - chapel, art gallery, lovely rooms, including a games room!) in a separate building across the courtyard. If it's raining, there is a tunnel connecting the two! The breakfast was very good - the evening meal (we had half-board) was reasonably good, not outstanding. We couldn't use the large outdoor pool this time, but it's impressive. Our main comment is about the staff, who were very friendly and incredibly helpful when we had a medical issue in the early hours of the morning of Saturday 21st September. The night porter was very kind and went out of his way to help - we're very grateful. The local A&E is close, and they dealt with the problem very well. We'd recommend this hotel, and it was great value, especially the half-board option.

Love this hotel. Super nice staff. Love the free parking and the rooms are clean. We had an issue with our mini fridge and a smell in the room but the staff did not wait to make sure it was fixed. They removed the broken fridge and brought in a new one

Gorgeous position inside the fort. Wonderful breakfast. The pool was the best thing: great temperature, large and deep! Good sun lounger availability. Good bar. Good system of deposit for pool towels etc to ensure only hotel guests used it. The views were glorious. The buildings were incredible. Enjoyable art on the walls. Loved the mix of modern and ancient. Great parking. Wish we’d stayed longer.
