Depending on where you're coming from, your flight to Belp could be simple and straightforward or it could go on forever. We've put together some handy travel tips that will help you start your next great adventure on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- The trick to having an awesome flight experience is to pack in advance. Start with the essentials: passport, travel docs, credit cards and any vital medications. Next, take on board items that'll help keep you busy, like some electronic gadgets or a few magazines. It's also smart to pack your chargers, a neck pillow and a pair of earphones. Finally, be sure to pop in toiletries like a toothbrush, deodorant and a clean T-shirt.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked baggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by security. Sharp or pointed objects, like your Swiss Army knife, and products which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosol cans, flares and gasoline, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an airplane aren't the place for a fashion parade. Layer up with comfortable clothing and choose shoes that are flat and easy to pull on and off.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a risk on long-haul flights. It results from blood clots forming due to inactivity and poor circulation, so do some gentle leg and foot exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression socks.
