No matter where you're coming from, flying can be a pleasant experience if you've prepared well. We've made a list of handy hints that will get your Guney vacation started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- The secret to having a pain-free flight experience is to pack in advance. First up, the essentials: passport, boarding pass, cash and important medications. Next, bring on board items that'll help keep you busy, like your laptop or a good read. It's also a wise idea to pack your chargers, a comfy neck pillow and a pair of earplugs. Last but not least, don't forget to squeeze in toiletries like a toothbrush, deodorant and a fresh change of clothes.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) won't be allowed on. Sharp or pointed objects, like your pocket knife, and products which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, chemicals agents and gasoline, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an airplane aren't the place for a fashion parade. Layer your clothing and pick shoes that are flat, enclosed and easy to remove.
- The result of sustained periods of immobility, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clotting condition that can affect passengers during long flights. Reduce the risks by drinking water, keeping your legs moving and wearing compression socks or tights.
