Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a pleasurable experience if you've prepared well enough. We've made a list of handy travel tips that will help get your Kevil vacation started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Firstly, and most importantly, pack your passport, travel documents, wallet and medications. Next, you'll want some extra in-flight entertainment to while away the time. A thrilling book and a laptop filled with your favorite movies are some great options. If you plan to catch forty winks, a quality neck pillow and a pair of earplugs will also be useful. Finally, leave space for a toothbrush and some cleansing wipes so you'll step off the plane feeling fresh as a daisy.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- While the list of banned items differs between air carriers, the general rule to follow is avoid carrying anything sharp, flammable or explosive. This includes things like box cutters, razor blades, aerosol cans and bleaching agents. Sports equipment like ski poles, and objects that could harm passengers, such as firearms and ammunition, are also banned from the cabin.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your main priority when choosing what to wear on board. Loose, breathable clothing is a sensible choice, as are flat, slightly roomy shoes.
- You're probably aware of deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by long periods of inactivity. To reduce your risk on board, drink lots of water, consider wearing compression socks and move your lower limbs often.
