We've got the lowdown on how to make your flight as pain-free as possible. Follow our tips and you'll be cruising through airport security and having a blast in Liskeard in next to no time. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Traveling on a plane can be a great experience if you pack the right gear. Firstly, you'll need toiletry items, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a clean set of clothes and a magazine or two. Secondly, find a spot in your carry-on bag for your phone and charger, medications and perhaps a quality neck pillow too. Last, but definitely not least, remember to take your passport, travel docs and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by authorities. Sharp or pointed objects, like your trusty Swiss Army knife, and dangerous goods which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, bleaching agents and fuels, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your priority is to be as comfortable as possible. Choose a pair of flat, closed-toe shoes, dress in loose, breathable clothing and don't forget to bring a jacket in case you get cold in the cabin.
- The result of prolonged periods of inactivity, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clot condition that can affect some passengers on long-distance flights. Reduce the risks by drinking water, keeping your ankles and legs moving and wearing compression socks to help improve your circulation.
