Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a seamless experience if you've prepared well. We've made a list of essential travel tips that will help get your Nel'Hay vacation started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- It's simple — first, pack your passport, travel docs, credit cards and vital medications. Next, you'll want some entertainment to while away the time. A thrilling novel and a phone filled with your favorite movies are always good options. If you intend to catch a few z's, a neck pillow and some earplugs will also be useful. Finally, make room for a few toiletry items to ensure you arrive at your destination feeling fresh and ready to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated. Sharp objects, like your treasured Swiss Army knife, and dangerous goods which are explosive or flammable, such as spray paint, flares and fuels, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an aircraft aren't the place for a fashion parade. Layer up with comfortable clothing and pick shoes that are enclosed, flat and easy to pull on and off.
- The result of lengthy periods of inactivity, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clotting condition that can affect some passengers during long flights. Reduce the risks by drinking water, keeping your lower limbs moving and wearing compression socks or tights.
