If you're not prepared, air travel can be testing. But there's no need to worry. Follow these handy hints and enjoy a stress-free start to your time in Nong Tum. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- It's simple — first, pack your passport, important documents, credit cards and daily medications. Next, you'll want some entertainment to while away the hours. A thrilling book and a phone filled with your favorite movies are some terrific options. If you plan to catch a few z's, a comfy neck pillow and a pair of noise-canceling headphones will also be useful. Finally, find room for a few toiletry items so you'll step off the plane feeling fresh and raring to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by security. Sharp objects, like your precious Swiss Army knife, and dangerous goods which are flammable or explosive, such as flares, bleaching agents and poisons, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an aircraft are no place for a fashion parade. Wear layers and opt for shoes that are flat, roomy and easy to remove.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by prolonged periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Try to walk around the cabin and stretch your legs or do some gentle exercises in your seat to promote better circulation.
