Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a pleasant experience if you've planned ahead. We've put together a list of essential travel tips that will get your Petehi vacation started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane ride can be a great experience if you pack the right gear. Firstly, you'll want some basic toiletry items, such as deodorant, toothpaste and a toothbrush, a clean pair of socks and something to read. Secondly, make room in your hand luggage for your laptop, a charger, any vital medications and perhaps a blow-up neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, remember to bring your passport, travel documents and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by security. Sharp objects, like your treasured pocket knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosol cans, flares and fuels, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your goal here is to be as comfortable as possible. Choose shoes that are easy to pull on and off, dress in loose, natural-fiber clothing and don't forget to bring a sweater in case you get cold in the cabin.
- Caused by prolonged periods of inactivity, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clot condition that can affect passengers on long-haul flights. Reduce the risks by drinking water, keeping your ankles and legs moving and wearing compression socks to help your circulation.
