Depending on where you're coming from, your flight to Poland could be a piece of cake or it could drag on forever. We've pulled together some useful travel tips that will help you start your next great escape on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Air travel can be a comfortable experience if you've got all the right things. Firstly, you'll want some toiletry items, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a spare change of clothes and a good read. Secondly, leave space in your hand luggage for your phone and charger, your important medications and maybe a blow-up neck pillow as well. Lastly, and most importantly, remember to bring your passport, travel docs and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated. Sharp or pointed objects, like your treasured pocket knife, and dangerous goods which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, bleaching agents and fireworks, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your main priority is to feel as comfortable as possible. Pick flat, closed-toe shoes, dress in loose, natural fibers and remember to bring a jacket in case it gets cold in the cabin.
- You're probably aware of deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by prolonged periods of inactivity. To lower your risk on board, stay hydrated, consider wearing compression socks and keep your feet and legs moving.
