No matter where you're coming from, flying can be a pleasant experience if you've planned ahead. We've made a list of handy travel tips that will help get your Raya escape started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Traveling on a plane can be a cruisy experience if you pack the right gear. Firstly, you'll want a few basic toiletries, such as lip balm and hand cream, a fresh change of clothes and a good read. Next, find room in your hand luggage for your electronic devices, chargers, your medications and maybe a comfy neck pillow too. Last, but definitely not least, don't forget to bring your passport, travel docs and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Double-check that you don't have sharp objects (like a pocket knife) hiding in your hand luggage. Other prohibited items include flammable or explosive goods, such as aerosol cans and fuel, and liquids and gels in containers with a volume of more than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters).
What to wear on a flight:
- Your main priority is to be as comfortable as possible. Pick flat, closed-toe shoes, dress in loose, natural-fiber clothing and don't forget to bring a sweater in case it gets cold in the cabin.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by extended periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Try to walk around the cabin and stretch your legs or do some gentle exercises in your seat to promote better circulation.
