Wherever you're coming from, flying can be a pleasant experience if you're prepared. We've made a list of essential travel tips that will get your Rosedale vacation started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane trip can be easy if you've got all the right gear. First things first, you'll need toiletry items, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a spare change of clothes and a good read. Next, leave space in your bag for your phone, tablet and chargers, your important medications and perhaps a comfy neck pillow as well. Last, but definitely not least, be sure to bring your passport, travel docs and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Make sure you don't have sharp objects (like a pocket knife) lurking in your hand luggage. Other prohibited items include explosive or flammable products, such as aerosol cans and bleach, and liquids and gels in containers larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters).
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should always be your main priority when picking what to wear during your flight. Consider your footwear choice with care too, as swollen feet and ankles can be a side effect of flying. Shoes which are flat and slightly roomy are always a sensible way to go.
- It's likely you've heard about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by reduced mobility or inactivity. There's lots you can do to reduce your risk. Don a pair of compression socks or tights, stay hydrated and keep your legs and feet moving. Do a few laps of the cabin or try out some exercises in your seat.
