Depending on where you're coming from, your trip to Somo could be as easy as pie or it could drag on forever. We've compiled some handy tips that will help you start your next big adventure on a positive note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First, pack in your passport, travel docs, bank cards and vital medications. Next, you'll want some extra in-flight entertainment to while away the hours. A juicy book and a phone filled with your favorite movies are some fantastic options. If you plan to take a quick snooze, a neck pillow and a pair of noise-canceling headphones will also come in handy. Finally, leave some space for a toothbrush and some facial wipes so you'll arrive looking and feeling fresh.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked baggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by authorities. Pointed or sharp objects, like your trusty pocket knife, and dangerous goods which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosol cans, spray paint and fireworks, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your goal here is to feel as comfortable as you can. Choose shoes that are easy to pull on and off, dress in loose, breathable clothing and don't forget to take a pullover in case it gets cold in the cabin.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by lengthy periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Try to walk around the cabin or do some simple exercises in your seat to improve your circulation.
