If you're poorly prepared, air travel can be challenging. But don't hit the panic button just yet. Follow these helpful hints and enjoy a worry-free start to your time in Torraca. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Flying can be a comfortable experience if you take the right things. First things first, you'll need toiletry items, such as toothpaste, a toothbrush and some deodorant, a clean set of clothes and a few magazines. Next, find a spot in your bag for your electronic gadgets, chargers, your medications and maybe a quality neck pillow as well. Lastly, remember to take your passport, travel documents and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked luggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated. Sharp or pointed objects, like a pocket knife, and dangerous goods which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, chemicals agents and fuels, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- The long, narrow aisles of a plane are not the place for a fashion parade. Layer yourself up with comfortable clothes and remember to bring a sweater as it tends to get cool inside the cabin during longer flights. Slightly roomy, flat shoes are also recommended.
- The result of sustained periods of immobility, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clot condition that can affect passengers during long-haul flights. But the good news is there are ways to significantly reduce the risk of developing it. Drink plenty of water, wander through the cabin as much as you can and wear compression socks to help improve your circulation.
