โThis is an exceptional place to stay. The family is very friendly and welcoming, the breakfasts are delicious and excellent quality. The room is well appointed and quiet. We were really well looked after during our visit and we hope to return before too long.โ
โA lovely night at the Jamaica inn to break up our journey from the Midlands to Lands End. The family room was lovely - clean and comfortable and had all the am you need for a stay over.
We had a meal in the restaurant (veggie burgers were delicious!) and a quick look around the museum - great fun! We'll definitely be back! โ
โStunning grounds and setting, excellent food and presentation, simply the best service from staff who went above and beyond. Only downside was I couldn't pay by Amex, the first hotel I've stayed in that doesn't accept it.โ
โI booked two nights for myself and my 12 yr old daughter. I was looking for somewhere with a bit of character, that was away from all the noise and bustle, had a good breakfast to set us up for the day and food available in the evening. I was not disappointed. The Weary Friar was such a great little find, a proper country pub with great food (nothing too fancy), friendly staff and peace and quiet to wake up to. Will definitely head there again!โ
โThis is a beautiful place to stay! So unbelievably quiet and beautiful he scenery is gorgeous. The house is beautiful , and you are made to feel so welcome as you arrive. This is a 5 star place to stay! And the breakfast ? Well no wonder it has won awards it was amazing .
To wake up to beautiful scenery out of your bedroom window, cattle grazing in the fields , horses all around - rolling hills and the sound of birds is wonderful. I canโt wait to stay again. โ
โWe booked a family suite which is lovely - very modern and tastefully decorated. A lovely tea/coffee area and bottles of water weee supplied. Both bedrooms have patio doors opening out onto outside area. The views are amazing and it is just so peaceful and quiet. Breakfast was amazing - THE BEST bacon!! Would highly recommend this place - ideal for walkers. โ

โMy room was spacious, spotlessly clean and, as an added bonus, came with a coffee machine so no terrible instant coffee in the morning. The food took what was already an excellent stay to another level at both breakfast and dinner with amazing food. The two men running things also strike the perfect balance of friendly, attentive and relaxed to make you feel welcome. When Iโm next in the area Iโll definitely be staying again.โ

โA lovely room in a converted stone building, separate from the main pub. Comfortable king-size bed and a small but adequate bathroom with an excellent rainfall shower. The only snag was the too-heavy duvet; we boiled on the first night! The second night we took the cover off it & slept under that. Good breakfast but we would have preferred to be able to eat at 8.30 instead of 9am.โ
โWould highly recommend this hotel! Itโs so clean and tidy. The staff are amazing, so happy and helpful. Breathtaking views and very convenient being so close to the centre of Looe. โ
