Chesapeake & Ohio Canal Towpath, Maryland hotel rooms at the Highgate Independent

"I have never stayed at a Citizen M hotel before and I don’t normally write reviews …this hotel was amazing. Checking in is so efficient. Decor is stylish and fun. The rooms are small however all you need is there and the quality of the bedding and pillows is outstanding. It’s about 6 minutes walk to the museums. The food is good and they have a roof top bar which has a wonderful view of the Capital building. Highly recommend."

"This was an excellent place to stay for a quick visit, I wish I had more time in the hotel! The bed was comfortable and the room clean. All of the staff were extremely friendly. The pool was awesome and well maintained. There were a lot of kids but I wasn’t expecting otherwise, just something to keep in mind if you’re looking for a child free experience. I will be staying here again! "

"This hotel is sooooo nice. Its small but really clean, smells nice. The rooms are spacious. The beds are so comfortable. Premium bedding was my favorite part. Onsite restaurant. They offer flavored water in the lobby. And the area is perfect. Safe for walking. We walked 20 minutes to Silver restaurant for brunch. It was great. Very comfortable 2 nights. Will stay there again. "
