"Amazing, regardless of price one of the best places I've stayed in Japan.
15 mins walk from Saga station in a quiet residential area and only 10 mins walk to multiple restaurants, Saga castle, balloon museum, library etc
Hotel is the wrong word for this place,it is a stand alone home, perfect for a couple but extra space and futons for kids or another couple in comfort.
The quality and fit out of the space is amazing, huge living area, fully equipped kitchen and laundry, incredibly it is...

"Beautiful spot inside and out. Super easy to check in and out. Very clean and pretty close to the main hub by car but a bit scary to drive down at night so bring enough food. I can only imagine when the trees outside blossom and how beautiful that would look. I guess I need to come back 😉 "

Excellent place and a primo location. The places (we had two groups each staying in separate dwellings) were a slice of more authentic Japan nestled in a picturesque neighborhood.
Our only challenges related to some difficultly getting in the places and one place not being ready when we check in. They allowed for a little later check out time on the one place but felt they could have extended it to both since we were all affected by the delay. Otherwise, things got handled well and they we’re...

The staff of the hostel was fantastic: very welcoming and helpful. The house is cozy and an excellent experience in a traditional Japanese house. I ate in a very good seafood restaurant very close by.

I absolutely loved our stay here. The room was spacious and clean, the staff were absolutely fantastic, the food from the restaurant was incredible, and the area around the hotel was beautiful and exciting to explore. Unfortunately, I didn't have an opportunity to use the public bath facility, so I can't say anything about that.
Just to note, only a few of the staff speak English so basic Japanese skills would be recommended. The station is a 20 minute walk from the hotel, so keep that in mind...

Loved this place. A little trip to a quieter part of Japan. The hotel worked very very hard to accommodate gluten free meals for my mother even after I had forgotten to tell them ahead of time. They were very sweet to help my mom experience traditional Japanese food, gluten free. The canals were lovely to tour as well.

The draw for us was to stay in the old house, and it was worth it. The room is very spacious. But the best thing was the staff, they were extremely helpful and accommodating. The breakfast was great, made to accommodate a gluten and dairy allergy, both days the breakfast was delicious!
The steps up to the bedroom are very steep, be careful if you are older or have young kids.

The R9 hotel was nice that we could park so close to our room! The only drawback is when it is raining the water comes off in front and when trying to enter the code to the room we get all wet from the runoff. Besides that, it was great.

This was my first time outside the USA and I couldn’t have picked a better place. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Saga. We got the breakfast package and we’re able to mix it up everyday. My wife and I tried almost everything and they were all delicious. They also have a fully stocked lounge with snacks, sodas, beer and even a small selection of liquor. Not speaking the language was no problem as they have iPads and use Google...
