"Fantastic apartment in a great location for visiting Chester. Parking is located a bit away from the property and can be a bit difficult to find but only a minor thing. Everything else was really good including the communications from the owner. Highly recommend. "

"The property was decorated to a high standard based on the area of Chester, located in a quiet area with own parking spot and an easy walk into Chester. I had to contact the owner prior to arriving and he couldnt have been more helpful and responsive. Chester is a beautiful area and i would definately stay at the Roman retreat when we return "

"After being let down by another property that I had booked, hotels.com arranged for myself and a couple of friends to stay at this property instead.. It must have been a blessing in disguise, as this property was amazing!! The owner meet us, and she was very friendly. The property was beautiful and had all that we needed for our stay. "Communication with the owner was poor, had to chase on several occasions for access arrangements etc. The heating didn't work so had to contact owner to solve issue. The bath/shower leaks onto the stairs when in use. Covers are placed over settee so you feel like you are intruding. Bins were not clean on arrival. Beds were comfy and generally if was ok for a one night stay."
