"This was one of the best hotel stays I’ve had in a long time. The property is absolutely beautiful—every space, including the gym, is thoughtfully designed with a cozy yet stunning atmosphere. What truly stood out was the service. Everywhere I went, I was greeted by name, which made the experience feel incredibly personal. I especially want to mention the gentleman who checked me in—I regret not remembering his name, but he went above and beyond, offering great tips about Montevideo and always greeting me with a warm smile. I also enjoyed both breakfast and dinner at the hotel, and the meals were consistently good. Combined with its excellent location, this made for a wonderful stay. I’m so glad I chose this hotel and would happily stay here again."

"Super cool hotel. Built in 1940. Tons of character, huge stained glass window, old school cage elevator, marble everywhere, and just an unbeatable location in the old town but quiet enough at night you can sleep with your shutters open. Probably one of my all time favorite hotels, a true value especially if you can get room 66 or 67."

"The hotel staff were friendly and helpful and we appreciated the fridge and microwave. The sheets did not tuck in to the bed so did not stay out through the night and we were surprised to see that there was no seating on the rooftop terrace - that seemed like an easy thing to do to make the terrace usable with its lovely view."
