Do Not Disturb!
Basic hotel room, clean and simple. However... cleaning staff need to learn what the "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door means, and not let themselves in and wake me up 3 times!

Minimal service but it is OK
There was one bath towel in the room. No other towels. There were soap bottles provided, one for the washbasin and one for the shower. The labels are different but the contents are the same. The bed is small enough to roll down, and there is only one power supply. Free wifi and heating are supplied, sufficient for a night's stay or so.

The location is perfect. It’s only walking distance from the train station and a stone throw away from the Cologne Cathedral. If you will only stay for a quick visit, this is good enough to have a descent sleep because it’s very basic. What is importent, we have a place to stay & sleep comfortably after touring around Cologne. We are not a very fuzzy travelers. That’s why this is good enough for us.

Comfortable in Great Location
The room was small but spotlessly clean and the beds were really comfortable. All we did was sleep and shower in the room so no need for any extras. The private bathroom was also spotless. The hostel is perfectly located beside the main train station and the Cathedral so within short walking distance of eating/drinking and shopping.

Perfect for Just the Basics
This is a nice hostel/hotel. Small rooms, all the necessities, but quite basic. Was perfect for a weekend trip with friends. Really great location!

Staff was very helpful. We arrived at 1200 and he allowed us to check-in early. Location is very close to central station and the dom. Room is smaller than expected. We had to move the beds as to open two lugguages.

Just a hop, skip and a jump from the Dom, and so close to the train station as well. Also you could rent a fan at the front desk. We only stayed for a night but would have been happy to stay longer at the hostel. First rate.

A small but clean room. You have everything you need. A hotel is near by the old town, best area to shop and eat. A walking distance to Köln Hbf.

Not bad at all
The hotel was surprisingly clean and comfortable. It is located in a very close proximity to the Cathedral and the train station. The room was small but for a couple of nights it would serve the needs. the bathroom was clean and had all the necessary amenities. Check in for quick and so is check-out. Overall, a good place to stay for one-two nights.

Good for a short stay
We stayed here as a family and received a very warm welcome. The room had the cot included a small requested. The staff was friendly and the hotel is in a very central location. The room was very clean and you can rent a kettle for a deposit (which you'll get back at check out). It was very quiet and a good stay for a night. The rooms were really small and the mattress too softt for our liking was everything else was ok. Definitely had a pleasant stay here.

Convenient location and pleasant staff
I was a bit apprehensive about a combo hostel/hotel, but this worked fine. It's within a 7 minute walk of the Cathedral and 10 minutes to the train station. They are updating the furniture/bedding now. Staff was very helpful to print out and scan a document. It's on a busy street but I had a room facing a walkway that was quiet.

I spent 4 days in Germany. This was the most I paid for a hotel and it was the worst. You could not even walk around the beds in the room. Room faced a noisy back street. Churchbells rang all night. Room neded painting, elevator old and dirty.

No frills, pretty great...but dogs???
Excellent staff, great location, super clean room, hot water. Sketchy elevator, but fun. :) Apparently, this place allows dogs. Ooops! Not terribly stoked about hearing damned dogs barking. If I wanted that, I could've slept on the steps of the dom. Luckily I only stayed a night.

It's well located in between the airport and downtown. Right by the public transportation stops. It was clean. The personal friendly and helpful. All type of restaurants around the hotel.

It's clean, it's well run but it's not a hotel
It's clean, it's well run but it's not a hotel, it's a hostel which would be suitable for anyone on a tight budget or teenagers backpacking around Europe but it should not be classed as a hotel. It's small, cramped, and the single rooms are more akin to prison cells, it's lacking air conditioning which means the windows need to be open 24 hours a day in the summer, and it's proximity to the 'Dom' makes for a bad nights sleep when the bell is chiming the hours. Bed's are small and uncomfortable, and during times of high demand (trade fairs at the Koln Messe) the prices (like any other hotel in Cologne) rise steeply. For real hotels this may just about be defensible, but for this place the price rises are way beyond anything which would pass for acceptable given the quality of the accommodation.

This hotel was very close to the Koln Cathedral, very economical and had the basic needs of an overnight traveler like us. Clean and tight really. Our room was close to the streets, it was very noisy outside. Overall we were glad we had a place to stay that night, we had no reservations.
