Nice hotel with nice staff despite a noisy locatio

The rooms by the streets are a bit noisy but the staff was very kind! enough to change my room and to over class me for personal comfort.

Good familly hotel.

10 minutes by bus to center. In a quiet residential area of Cologne. We needed a big room for 4 close to the xmas market and cathedral. This hotel was perfect.

Das Hotel wirkte gut, aber das Zimmer stank.

Wir waren mit zwei Paaren zum Weihnachtsmarkt in Köln. Als wir das Zimmer beziehen wollten, fiel uns der Gestank auf, der aus den Ablfüssen kam. Nachdem wir in sämtliche Abflüsse Wasser gefüllt hatten und den Bodenabfluß zusätzlich mit dem Mülleimer zugestellt hatten, wurde es nach kräftigen Durchlüften wieder erträglich. Die Rezeption wollte den Mangel beseitigen, aber außer, dass der Mülleimer wieder weggenommen wurde, geschah nichts! Daher mußten wir nachts mit offenen Fenster schlafen und hatten als Alternative dann zusätzlich zu der Außentemperatur auch den Gestank der Zigaretten, die unter unserem Fenster geraucht wurden. Im Zimmer unserer Freunde funktionierten die Geräte teilweise nicht. Darüber hinaus wurde uns die Kulturabgabe, die lt. Expedia bereits enthalten war, nochmals abgenommen.

Sehr freundliches, zuvorkommendes Personal. Absolut sauber. Das Badezimmer war etwas "verbraucht". Habe mich aber sehr wohl gefühlt in dem Hotel.

Ein etwas in die Jahre gekommenes Hotel

An sich war das Hotel top - vor 20 - 30 Jahren. Es ist immer noch gut ausgestattet bzw. komfortabel, aber es ist doch recht alt alles.

Uraltes Zimmer, niemals 4 Sterne

Das Hotel insgesamt machte einen ordentlichen Eindruck, das Zimmer allerdings wurde letztmals vermutlich in den späten 80er Jahren renoviert. Die Möblierung war verwohnt, das Badezimmer spartanisch. Trotz der Lage an einer vielbefahrenen Straße war das nach hinten gelegene Zimmer aber recht ruhig. Insgesamt war der Preis für die gebotene Leistung eindeutig zu hoch.

Koln short visit

Not a central hotel, but very easy to find off the A4, and within easy reach of the centre of Koln on a very frequent bus service. Staff very accomodating and freindly, excellent breakfast and opportunity for a very good meal in their restaurant. Beds very comfortable, but pillows far too soft as seems the norm in Germany.

Bonotel Cologne

An older hotel but well looked after with an excellent menu, attentive and helpful staff and located in a quiet suburb but just a short taxi ride from the centre of Cologne.

One Night business trip accomodation

Clean tidy hotel, staff willing and helpful with enquires and service. Rooms good and functional although possibly ageing a little, beds comfatable. Hotel restaurant provides good meals at the end of a long day, the breakfast at Euros is a little steep in price although there is a good selection from which to choose. I would endorse the recommendation to get a room at the back of the hotel as the road at the front has constant noise. For travel or business this is a good base and not to far from the centre of Koln.

Great space for the price

One of the few places you could fit 4 in one room. Staff was very nice. Neighborhood is so so but there is free parking in back.

Pleasant stay . Breakfast was good if a little expensive . The spa centre was disappointing as the jacuzzi was not working .

Adequate Hotel but minimal

The staff were first class and very helpful at the front. The room had no air condition however I think that is a ' Cologne thing'. The room had a musty smell and the pillows are really not great. Not sure if I would stay here again as it was forgettable.

I suppose it was fine, but I wouldn't recommend it to a friend

First off, the hotel is a 30 minute bus ride south of the city center, which we were definitely not expecting. Breakfast was about €20 per person per day, and we didn't see any cafés or bakeries within a 5-10 minute walk. When we arrived in the afternoon the carpet in our room was quite damp all over, presumably from being freshly shampooed or something, and didn't dry until the next day; we didn't think it was worth requesting a room change because of it, but it was annoying. The staff were nice and friendly, but the front desk person was smoking in the break room one of the days and the smell was wafting into the lobby. This all being said, we had drinks and desserts at the restaurant one night and it was delicious. And the Italian restaurant nearby is delicious as well. The only thing really going for this place is the price, but it is that cheap for a reason. If a friend were to visit Cologne, I would recommend that they look around for another place to stay.

nice hotel, nice staff

We greatly enjoyed our one night stay at the Bonotel in Cologne. The staff were very helpful, room was a good size as was the bathroom, and the bed was comfortable. The room was also very quiet which was great for me as I'm a light sleeper. Overall, very happy

Bon rapport qualité prix et accueil agréable

+ Hotel bien situé, à quelques minutes de l'autoroute, + parking gratuit, + accès au centre ville en une demie-heure par ligne de bus au pied de l'hôtel, + chambre assez grande, + personnel sympathique. - On entend la route depuis les chambres situées sur la Bonnerstrasse, - le petit déjeuner est cher, nous avons décidé de le prendre en ville. Nous y retournerons si besoin.

Séjour familial réussi

Pas facile en période de fêtes de trouver un hôtel à Cologne accueillant une famille avec 2 enfants (4 ans et 1 an). Celui ci ne nous a pas déçu: chambre suffisament spacieuse (canapé lit pour les enfants) et confortable.salle de bain impeccable. LE personnel est vraiment très sympathique malgré qu'il ne parle pas le français. LE petit déjeuner est excellent. Grâce à l'arrêt de bus tout proche, il est très simple de se rendre au centre ville.de plus, l'hôtel dispose d'un parking, ce qui n'est pas négligeable. NOus n'hésiterions pas à y retourner...

These facilities were quite dated, and the sofabed for our kids was uncomfortable but generally we enjoyed our stay here. The rooms were clean and tidy and spacious and the staff were superb in their efforts to help us enjoy our stay. We would happily recommend to other families.

heerlijk hotel met heel gastvrije en vriendelijk personeel. Junior suite is zeer comfortabel, ontbijt en avondeten in het restaurant was heel goed. Hotel personeel geeft je een huiselijk gevoel. Erg genoten van ons verblijf. Bus verbinding naar de stad is goed te doen. Rustige veilige buurt, goede parkeergelegenheid bij het hotel. Zeker voorherhaling vatbaar!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
