While the lobby was well kept, our room was lacking. The dishwasher was dirty on the outside, and I wiped down the shelves and counters myself. The shower wasn’t overly clean, and their bottles of hand soap and body wash was empty. You could tell it had been been for a while, as the body wash was facing the sink outside instead of the shower. The garage disposal wasn’t working and started smelling as the food from previous visits started coming up. Maintenance did respond quickly, however. When o went to go make a coffee, the cream was bad. The breakfast was sub par. However, Martin was very friendly and made sure everything was tidy and stocked. After having spent 1 night previously at the Home 2 Suites in Columbia, IRMO, the difference was apparent. They were spotless, with a bigger and better variety of breakfast. The property itself was great, clean and welcoming. The staff was top notch, friendly courteous and very helpful. Day and night shift. Great breakfast selection and friendly cook staff. Parking can be a bit concerning with the dual hotels, fills up fast, but staff made concerns less of a factor when questioned about sfaety.

The room had a bad smell, even though it states the cleaning is done every other day it was only done once after a long weak stay. We did request the room to be cleaned but it was only done once. The person in the breakfast area was very kind and nice during our stay.

I arrived around 9 pm hoping to get into bed without delay. Unfortunately the room they gave me was not cleaned to my surprise. I had to go back to the reception and it was ok the second time around. When I went to open the curtains in the morning, I stepped into the wet carpet around the AC unit. Otherwise the room is comfortable, clean and has everything you need to longer stay.

Check-in was delayed for 2 and a half hours past posted time of 3 pm, as the lobby filled with 20 or so other travelers also waiting for rooms to be cleaned. Getting to room after 5:30 when in town for a specific evening event was very frustrating and the staff were not friendly and did not offer any updates. Customer service training desperately needed. We did track down the manager on our own and she gave us breakfast buffet tickets for the not-free side of the property. Breakfast was the bright spot of our stay. The dining manager went out of his way to accomodate our vegan and gluten-free friend. Cleanliness of room was very bad. The tiled entryway/kitchenette area was sticky and slippery. Wiped the floor with a bath towel which revealed that the floor was very dirty. Our friend had a full bag of stinky garbage that had been left under the sink. I started to use the Keurig in the morning but water was standing. inside the reservoir with hair or lint floating in it. The room, had it been clean, was very nice despite one chair that was in pretty bad shape.

Overall stay was positive, breakfast not so much

The location was excellent, room was clean and comfortable. Check in went well and the man at the desk was very helpful with dining suggestions. Breakfast was subpar and the lady taking care of the breakfast station was rude and disrespectful.

The staff here was wonderful; Yvette in particular. Whether I was coming or going, I was always greeted with a warm hello and a smile. The room was clean and the hotel is located in the middle of everything.

We liked that we were able to have our dog with us. we were put into a room that had not been cleaned. Once we were moved There wasn't any coffee but decafe, to few towels. The carpets were stained in the room and the hall way carpets were stained

Staff was pleasant and location was pretty good. I wish more attention to details would have been provided. Breakfast was supposed to be available until 9 but both mornings I went down for just coffee around 8:30-8:45 and coffee had run out. When I asked for coffee I was told “that’s it for the day if we are out.” When I went to my room to make coffee the creamers provided were old, sour and chunky!!! Went to take a shower and BOTH shampoo and conditioner pups were empty. Went to shower second day and there was no hot water. None of this was “trip ruining” but just frustrating.
