The Barrington Hotel

8/10 Good

"Everything was clean. Staff super helpful. My mom who has mobility issues was able to borrow a wheelchair from the hotel so we could take her out for supper The location was super amazing in the heart of downtown Halifax and being able to have in/out parking privileges was awesome. The food (breakfast and supper) in the restaurant was also very yummy. On a downside. While clean, The hotel is a bit outdated and could use a minor refresh Also we had number of issues with the room card keys loosing its magnetism and having to get the front desk to reset the room key 2-3 times a day was a challenge but nothing that would stop me from going back Overall would give the hotel a 4/5"

10/10 Excellent

"The only comment I have is that the hotel bar/restaurant is very inconvenient. The multiple hallways and door to get to it is so far out of the way. Every time we went there, it was so quiet. Not easily accessible from the street either. The staff and atmosphere were SO amazing and the food was fantastic. I feel sorry for the staff because they should be making more money. I would suggest considering a relocation for the restaurant in the future. Most hotels have a lobby bar....this was the complete opposite. Otherwise we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We'll definitely be back!"
