The property itself was very dirty. There was vomit in the planter outside upon arrival, the carpets were filthy, and I ran the shower on its hottest setting for 10 minutes before getting in because that’s the only way I could justify bathing myself in it. The communication from the hotel was basically nonexistent until after 7pm on the day of your stay and the staff is unorganized. I’m only giving the overall stay two stars because the size of the room wasn’t bad and I got a good night’s sleep.

Für die Hälfte des Preises wäre die Unterkunft vielleicht OK gewesen. Es war dreckig in einigen Stellen, die Einrichtung ist auch sehr alt und heruntergekommen, Türen schließen nur schwer oder gar nicht. Es ist zwar schön, dass es eine Küche gubt, allerdings ist auch hier das Besteck dreckig gewesen. Kommunikation war auch nicht gut, online hat man mir nicht geantwortet und als ich auschecken wollte hat mir keiner die Tür geöffnet, ich musste warten, bis eine Mitarbeiterin zufällig vorbei kam.

Dear Sir or Madam, I am writing to request a full refund of SEK 944.83 for the booking at Hotel M18 in Copenhagen (May 22–23, 2025, guest name: Naira Sardaryan, itinerary number: 72063132522718). My daughter was unable to use the room due to the following issues: Upon arrival, she was approached by a suspicious elderly man who claimed he was waiting for her and led her to a basement-like space that had no power outlets or Wi-Fi, despite these amenities being clearly listed on the website. He gave her an entry code written on a piece of paper and left. After stepping out to inspect the area, she was unable to re-enter using the code — it was invalid. She immediately informed me, and I tried calling and writing to the hotel, but only reached an automated voicemail. Later, some people arrived and said there had been a mistake on the website, and that she was not showing up in their system, so they couldn’t check her into the room she booked. Instead, they offered her a mattress in an unclear and inadequate space, which is completely unacceptable and does not match what was promised at the time of booking. Therefore, the service was not provided, and the room conditions did not correspond to what was advertised. We expected a proper hotel room — not a basement with no basic facilities and an unreliable check-in process. I kindly request a full refund of SEK 944.83. A Deeply Unsafe and Unacceptable Experience

I had a deeply distressing experience at Hotel M18 on Meinungsgade 18 in Copenhagen on May 21st. I arrived around 10 PM and had received an email with the check-in code (xxx) to retrieve my room key from the key box. However, the key box required four digits, and the code provided was only three. I spent a long time trying combinations without success. Two fellow guests from Greece also tried to help me and confirmed the code did not work. I called the hotel multiple times using the phone number provided and sent messages through Hotels.com as instructed. To this day, I have received no response – no call back, no message, nothing. By 11:30 PM, I had no way to access my room and no one from the hotel to contact. I tried other hotels, but they were either closed or full. I was alone, on the street, without accommodation, and feeling extremely unsafe. A complete stranger overheard my conversation and kindly offered me a place to stay – otherwise, I would have been sleeping outside. This was a completely unacceptable situation, made worse by the hotel's total silence and lack of accountability. I have documentation of the incorrect instructions, photos of the key box, call logs, and witnesses who saw what happened. I have requested a full refund and compensation and have still heard nothing. I am now preparing to escalate this through official consumer complaint channels. Avoid this hotel at all costs.

Et ok sted.

Beliggenheden er god med gode restauranter lige rundt om hjørnet, og ikke langt til centrum og Nørrebrogade. Selve stedet er slidt, men ok rent og pænt. Sengen er lille, men ok at ligge i. Det kostede noget arbejde at få adgangskode og værelsesnummer, men herefter var ind-og udtjekning smertefri. Det bedste ved dette sted er beliggenheden.

Die Lage zu City ist super. Gutes Preis Leistung- Verhältnis. Allerdings ist es sehr hellhörig und unser Abfluss hat gerochen.

The budget room was truly BUDGET. The beds didn’t have a mattress pad, you could feel the mattress springs when laying on it. The room also smelled like cigarettes, even though it said the room was smoke free.

Woken by blood filled bug crawling away in bed!

I was woken early to see a blood filled bug crawling away across the bedsheet. This being a very cheap hotel our expectations were set low. This is unacceptable by any standards in Copenhagen!

Zugangscode gab es erst 2 Stunden vor ankunft am Hotel, sollte eigentlich schon ein Tag vor der anreise bekannt gegeben werden. Habe Zimmer mit 1 dobbelt-Bett og 1 queensize-Bett gebucht. Das eine Bett war 2 Matratzen auf dem Fußboden. Im Zimmer und Aufenthaltsraum stand Coffe and Tee for free. Von Freitag nachmittag bis Sonntag morgen war kein Tee zu finden. Getränkeautomat im Aufennthaltsraum ging nicht. Fehrnseher ging gar nicht, war auf Spanisch eingestellt und egal welcher knopf gedrückt wurde stand irgend was von Canal. Teppich war nicht gerade nett anzuschauen. viele Flecken.
