I liked the environment very much. The food was gorgeous and the service excellent. The rooms were very small and the bathroom actually without hot water, which my husband especially disliked. A little cold at night , but with the heater it was ok.

Beautiful area. Cabins nuce. Chef is incredible! Dinner was amazing. Ficus hike moderate, lots of ups and downs, like most of costa rica. Coffee and avocado farm interesting. Arranged a successful Quetzales tour. Other lodges in the area have bird feeders with fruit and Hummingbird nectar. Cedrela does not. Hot water in shower was hit and miss.

The food at Cedrela Ecolodge was fantastic! It is gourmet and all locally sourced and sustainable. The chef deserves to win some major awards. It is the best food we have ever had in Costa Rica and some of the best food we have had worldwide. The cabins are nice and comfortable and have lovely views. The trail on the property goes through beautiful forest and we saw Quetzals along the trail. Highly recommended staying at this establishment.

Logement très calme. Repas excellents
Chalet en bois situé dans un endroit très calme. Dîner et petit-déjeuner superbes. Odeur de cheminée persistante. Eau pas suffisamment chaude pour prendre une douche.

Fans un cadre de montagne magnifique, petit lodge avec une vraie volonté écoresponsable et éthique. Le personnel était très agréable et aidant pour nous aider à organiser les activités (et pour gérer une maxi araignée dans la chambre!). Restaurant très bon utilisant que des produits bio et locaux piur une cuisine costaricienne différente. La chambre était propre, très simple et salle de bain en pas très bon état (pourrait être mieux pour les installations sanitaires).

In December it was rather cold but they provided enough bedsheets to keep warm. The bed was a bit soft and noisy but OK. The menu of the restaurant is quite limited but everything we tried was absolutely delicious. Service was excellent, very kind people work there. The views were very nice. Definitely worth the stay!!!

AMAZING Food!
Cedrela Ecolodge was the best place I stayed during my visit to Costa Rica. The staff was friendly and very helpful...not jaded by excessed tourism. The property was quiet. The bed was comfortable. The restaurant food was AMAZING! This was the best food I had during my stay in Costa Rica. Fresh, locally sourced, and healthy. It is important to me to know where my food comes from, and how it is prepared. The food at the lodge was spectacular. I will stay here again!

This magical place has forever left an imprint on my heart! I honestly didn’t want to leave. The wildlife, the views, the staff and the food- all 5 stars. If you love nature, fresh foods and beautiful warm cozy cabins this is the place for you!

It is a very nice place, it is a simple but cozy hotel in a coffee plantation. The best of everything is the restaurant, they have a few dishes but any one of them are superb.

Nuestras habitaciones son de diferentes tipos, por esa razón algunas son más grandes y espaciosas y otras más pequeñas, tratamos de ofrecer opciones diferentes para cada tipo de cliente. Por otra parte, les comentamos que nosotros somos CST (Certificado de Sostenibilidad Turística), por esa razón las toallas se cambian si el cliente lo solicita unicamente, quizás de nuestra parte omitimos hacerles ese comentario. Respecto al ingreso, hemos estado trabajando en mejorar el acceso para que todas las personas nos puedan visitar. Una vez más agradecemos nos hayan visitado y sus valiosos comentarios que nos impulsan a mejorar día con día.

With a motor cycle death at Cartago on the road to Cedrela, traffic ground to a halt. 4 hrs to drive 2km. Arrived very very late at Ecolodge, and were greeted by Marta like family, who took care of ordering in meals etc even at that late hour. Next morning yielded a beautiful panoramic view of the valley below from our breakfast room. Can't say enough about how they made us feel at home.

Un hotel familiar, muy acogedor y lindo, definitivamente me quedaría de nuevo. Limpio, los cuartos son cómodos, el baño también. La vista a las montañas y el sendero son espectaculares.

TRANQUILIDAD EN OA NATURALEZA
El hotel está en plena naturaleza en en entorno de montaña muy cerca de dos parques naturales. Tiene varias casitas de madera muy bien acondicionadas con baño y ducha privados. Son amplias y cómodas. Tiene un comedor y un salon como areas compartidas. El desayuno y la cena son abundantes y de calidad con muchos ingredientes organicos de su propia huerta. Wifi en las zonas comunes pero no en las cabañas. El hotel ofrece varios tours de pago pero tambien tiene un sendero gratuito por un bosque muy bonito y muy bien conservado.
