"After a travel mishap we were lucky to stumble upon Duomo Guest House on Expedia. It was not only perfectly priced for an unexpected extra night of vacation, but also in a prime location! "Hotel was very clean and quiet. Situated right next to the airport which was convenient for easy flight departure. Our flight was early, so we were unable to take advantage of the breakfast which surprisingly only starts at 7am. Nice spa available in the hotel, it was very busy so I am not sure if people not staying at the hotel use it as a day spa. Nice pool, but what looked like it was supposed to be a hot tub next to it with jacuzzi jets was cold. Not sure what was going on there. There is a nice park across the way with lots of beautiful, colourful birds. Hotel located 5 minute walk from the city train which allows you to easily travel downtown and into the historic centre for. 1.30 euro/person. Staff was not overly friendly. Not a single one gave us a smile or pleasant hello during our stay, they were all serious business and looking mildly annoyed about everything. Room was standard size with a comfy bed, in room safe and a small fridge. "

"The meals were very good. The bedroom was decorated in a charming way with lovely old Chinese wardrobe and a book case full of classics. The grounds and olive groves were amazing. The house was full of old artefacts and beautiful furnishings. It was a pity that the swimming pool was not open."

"The room was too hot for a comfortable sleep. After the first night we were told that they would check to see about turning the heat off and the air on. We weren’t offered a fan to help sleep or any other help. Upon checkout we were told that by law, they couldn’t turn on the air conditioning until April 20. We checked out on April 18. The breakfast buffet was horrible. We tried it the first day and never went back. The rooftop terrace was closed for the season, even though the weather was warm. We would have enjoyed sitting there. The location was great and we loved the town. The hotel was on the verge of being dated and neglected. The management was unwilling to offer any help or compensation for our discomfort. We suggested they waive the parking fee. We never even received an apology for the sleepless nights."
