"Bedding wasnt changed in the whole 3 days we were there, understand the eco side of this but for a "LUX" grecotel, it's not ideal.
The ventilation in the bathroom was none existent meaning black mould formed on the walls. There was no mirror in the room, only in the bathroom which made getting ready extremely difficult when as it was steamed up and damp in there and others would inevitably be using the bathroom. Booked as a three but everything in the room was catered for 2 (drinks in fridge, coffee pods, amount of towels left).
There was no body wash in the shower even on the first day. We didn't ask as one of us had brought some with us so just shared.
The lunch and dinner buffet were extremely similar, and pretty much the same each day. No option of lean meats, usually thigh if chicken, belly if pork etc.
Our first restaurant booking was cancelled just over an hour before the reservation time due to weather (obviously not hotels fault). When I asked if there was any other restaurant available the receptionist put the phone down on me, when we called back she stated "we shouldn't have been booked in anyway because it was our first night and policy says no restaurant bookings on first night and last day".
The Village evening, sadly, was just the buffet with less selection, just in a pretty venue. I have stayed in the Grecoted White Palace LUXME twice & assumed it would be like the Agreco Farm. Left disappointed.
Sun beds reserved with no removal from hotel staff. "
"Actually, I would say it’s fine to stay here but the thing is the staff should know what I am asking to them. In the breakfast I asked about halal food but they doesn’t know what it is. I know this can happen but they should ask me what it is , so that I can explain. However, everything was good but they should give us toothpaste as well. "
"The team at reception were not friendly, not efficient, and not capable.
The first 3 things they (it was 4 people talking to each other behind the reception desk and not in English and obviously talking about me) told me was:
NO swimming in the pool cuz it closed at 6pm (actually closes at 7pm).
NO dinner reservations at the à la carte restaurant in-house.
NO free room upgrade.
This was followed by 3 fake information:
There is no earlier email from reservation department of Domes Hotel that would ‘try their utmost to upgrade me for my 30th anniversary’
Hotel is 100% sold out for Saturday 2 May 2026.
The reservation manager was in a meeting at 9:40am on Sunday 3 May 2027 (probably late for work?).
So the total number of hours I was at Domes was 39 hours, of which 20 were sleeping. Of the remaining 19 hours, I spent at least 2 hours waiting for any and every different staff of reception to inform me whether or not I ‘could’ change from the sewerage smelling room they gave me the night before. At first, the response was wait and let me get maintenance to have a look (as if this was a new and sudden problem when in reality, it was sewerage pipes build horizontally instead of at a slant inside the floors from the date the hotel was built). This pre existing problem should have been known to the team at reception and yet they intentionally stuck me in the smelly room for 1 night.
This all happened on my only full day in Corfu. No member of reception staff was effective.
