"The property is close to Madrid Barajas airport, but not walking distance. There is a an airport bus run by the property, but it does not run between 1400-1700 hours. You can take a cab/uber (Euro 20), but I took the 828 city bus direction Madrid (Euro 3) which drops on the main street, walking distance away. The return airport bus run by the property is every 45 minutes beginning at 6am (aside from the aforementioned siesta). The only caveat is that you have to line up 45 minutes beforehand to get the ticket. That’s fine noon, but a pain for the 6 am bus. I would suggest to the property to just let people get their “ticket” upon checkin. Or increase their bus capacity during the busy transfer times. Another positive is there are multiple grocery stores nearby if you’re sick of going out to eat."

Barceló Torre de Madrid

"We had a wonderful stay at Barceló Torre de Madrid and couldn’t have asked for a better location to experience this beautiful city. Situated just off Gran Vía and within easy walking distance of the Royal Palace, it was the perfect home base for exploring Madrid on foot. Our room was beautiful, spacious, and exceptionally clean, with a wonderful balcony overlooking Gran Vía. There was something special about starting and ending the day with that view and the energy of the city just outside our door. The staff throughout the hotel were outstanding, warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive. Everyone we encountered spoke English, which made communication effortless and added to the comfort of our stay. We also thoroughly enjoyed the food at the bar; it was another lovely part of the experience, made even better by the excellent service. From the location and accommodations to the thoughtful staff, everything made us feel welcome and well cared for. We would happily return to Barceló Torre de Madrid on our next visit to this wonderful city!"
