Toilet didn’t have a cover .walls in bathroom looked like they had poop on them ..bathroom door was rotted … Sink was dirty and didn’t have a stopper!!! Rust on everything … Breakfast consisted of muffins in a bag and instant coffee

Hotel Texas cuero
We were there for a family hunting trip and stayed here. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The front desk person was very accomodating and our stay was very pleasant.

only staying here for the price and location
Was not as good as last year, Roof was being redone, and breakfast was scarce and minimal. It did not seem as hospitable as last time.

It stated on the website that there was a pool and hot tub. The pool was green and I was told they got rid of the hot tub a year ago. The parking area was full of potholes and grass was coming through every crack. I told them I was not staying based on this and they said the would have to charge me. I told them I would go take a picture of their nasty green pool and send that to my credit card company then.

Would definitely stay here again! The rooms are spacious with a kitchen, fridge, table and barstools. It’s very quiet and the rooms were clean.

I went to extend three more days on Thursday afternoon , the desk clerk said fine . I said let me pay with my credit card . She said now problem. She had all my cards on file , I would just have to move to a different room with two beds. I said ok. She said come by in the morning and she would give me the key to the new room. Friday morning at 10 am, I go to the desk and the man tells me there are no rooms. I work nights at the hospital in Cuero and I had no place to sleep locally. Very bad management and low water pressure in the shower and sink. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel for my dog.

Poor value and quality for price paid
Don’t trust the pictures or reviews. This place must be under new management. Not safe here, at all. Dirty, moldy, poor lighting. Broken items in room, room not cleaned, extreme sanitation issues, continental breakfast not provided. Room had horrid smell due to mold and leak from fridge. Bathroom had dirty handprints on wall, blood on shower curtain, no tv remote, broken blinds, and nails coming up in carpet. Management unfriendly, unprofessional, rude, and unavailable. Convenient language barrier they use when they don’t want to help you. Was promised half refund back for 1 night stay, and they never did. Called and filed dispute to no end in response or resolution. Spend the extra dollars for a nicer hotel (recognized name) in this area. Terrible experience we had.

Girl at check in was awesome. Sink faucet had water pouring out obviously maids didn’t report it or didn’t clean it. Lady on check out was rude when I tried to tell her about it

Book Fair place to stay
I was in town to do a Book Fair at the Cuero Municipal Library. My husband booked this location at my request. This met my needs perfectly. Also, I enjoyed the Texas Shaped Waffles, which is always a plus.

The Texan is a nice affordable place to stay. Decor is nice, but it has been a bit since the last update. Always pretty clean place, but they could use a bit of dusting in some areas. Super friendly staff up front and they are now much more efficient at checking in. I continue to stay here as it is very affordable and clean. Only thing I would really advise improvement on in is their breakfast. Super lacking.

The staff was very helpful and friendly, good breakfast, and clean accommodations. It was great to have a full-sized refrigerator and kitchenette in the room. Location is also convenient, price is great.

Pool was clean. Sheets were clean. Sofa had visible stains. Looked like dried milk and it had hair and heavy dust piles on the back side of left and right arms. Baseboards all full of dust especially bathrooms. At the front desk it takes awhile before you are helped because it is a mom and pop operation.Breakfast was poor. Coffee from a machine with bad water. Batter for waffles tasted old. Complimentary beer was a nice gesture but water in their cooler was dirty. Need to clean out.

No customer service to speak of. Coffee and juice machines at reception available during business hours but nobody around ever. Property is in need of maintenance. Pool green color (closed), entrance doors fading away, no landscape (dirt only). Exact the same cookies two days later at reception counter. Toilet not cleaned, towels questionable cleaned.

Terrible service.
I was a late arrival. Around 11pm. I had a reservation. Rang the night buzzer a few times. Waited 15 mins. Nobody came. Went to the car to look for alternatives and another car pulled up. He waited 10 mins so once he was done I went to get checked in. Didn’t get the room I had reserved online. Shower didn’t have a curtain at all. She gave me extra towels, not sure why because there was more than enough in the room. Nice place, for the most part but the service was terrible.

Try the hotels across the street !
Lady at the front desk was rude,the a/c didn’t work like it should,other than that the room was clean and in good shape. Overall I’d stay there again if I had too.
