“We needed an accommodation relatively close to Blacks Harbor in order for us to travel to Grand Manan to visit family and TRUTH BE TOLD - this was the only accommodation available for our family of 5. We had a chaotic trip. We flew in from Alberta, one of our kids (we learned) is very susceptible to motion sickness... (its our first BIG family trip) there were challenges with our rental car. “The property was well located with a beautiful view of the bay. Parking was convenient. We did point out a couple of areas that needed special cleaning attention - baseboards in the bathroom were dirty. The mirror and glass desktop in the room had been cleaned with the wrong cleaner and so were all smeared. The facility is under new management with new cleaning staff and we were assured that this would be corrected. We would be happy to stay there again.”

Large spacious rooms. You can hear other doors closing as it is an old building if your a light sleeper!!Would I go back.. possibly!?”

“Very disappointed, the layout of the hotel was boring, not relaxing, over priced, food was good but way too expensive, the serving staff were great, had to wait for over 1 hour, after 3 phone calls for a hairdryer, the resort does not overlook the ocean at all, the grounds were clean but not impressive at all. “It's a beautiful property and the pet friendly room we stayed in on the main floor was just renovated. The shower has great water pressure and the bed was so comfortable. There was a big common room, called the Tea Room, where we ate breakfast and were able to work for a couple of hours. It was just a short walk to the water and all the restaurants. The hosts were just lovely and had lots of recommendations for what to do in the area. Everything in the area was very dog friendly. Highly...

“Unfortunately, this did not qualify as a 5 star accommodation. It is a gorgeous , older home with beautiful gardens but amenities and support from staff was disappointing. Our room , quite “cozy” was lacking in supplies like tissues, shower cap, water bottles, extra towels, and it was dark with lights needing replacement. This could be a 5 star accommodation with more attention to detail and more staff present in site. Breakfast should def be included and not an extra charge!”
