Staff was very nice and welcoming! After being cancelled at another hotel multiple times, I’m glad my partner and I took a chance on this establishment. Not only was the room nice and clean, but just the overall environment was nice and convenient. Only downside is that our room was right next to the busy street, so it did get loud sometimes during the day, but no biggie. Also, the fridge did freeze our drinks and food instead of keeping them at a normal cool temperature. Other than that I’ll be happy to choose this for our stay in the future. Thank you again!
This “hotel” is a run down extended stay with very unsavory looking people milling about. I pulled in the lot and right back out. I didn’t feel safe staying here. The photos look nice but are very misleading.
Astoria West is a very basic property. It is not fancy. But it was clean and everything was in working order. It is one of the lower priced properties in the Danville area. we were only staying one night so it suited our needs.
Everything I was expecting, a dump. Classic 50's motel, updated at some point and way past needing an update again. Pool filled with dirt, growing weeds. No maid service. Every night was doorbells in the steering wheel and loud talking outside my door or yelling across the parking lot. Bed was comfortable though.
Clean, comfortable and affordable rooms convenient to the casino and surrounding businesses. The staff was very inviting and friendly even making excellent suggestions on where to eat before leaving town.
I reserved a room in April and when I get there in aug they said Expedia didnt reserve it they inly held it. It was sold out ao I had no room. Looked like a club with the amount of people outside partying. Whole pack of wild cats beside the dumpster. Rooms stink
They were nice, and I suppose you get what you pay for. Someone commented that they were amazed at how clean it was for a low-cost option. Not sure where they stayed, but it was a bit tough to stay here, even for one night. Everything smelled funny - the sheets, shower curtains, the room itself. The refrigerator was noisy, the room door didn’t have a firm seal to the outdoors so sunlight and noise came through, the table had stains on it, the internet didn’t work, the inside light was actually a porch light…just overall an uncomfortable experience.
IN their advertisement they advertised a pool which they haven't had for sometime. There was a fence and grass where the pool used to be. furthermore on front counter a sign saying contractors could stay for 329.00 a week and we were charged 348.00 for 3 nights. To make matters worse we saw a cochroach. We also had to fight with our door to get it open swipping the card and jiggling the door many times. Also upon entering the room there was only 1 set of used towels and the faucett of tub had a loud drip. The manager who was rude said if we didn't lijke our room there would be no refund
This is an extended stay hotel. I'm guessing the fee must be lower for those staying longer term but for those of us who aren't extended stay, the rates are quite high given the low quality of this hotel. Definitely not worth the price.
