“Amazing value for money! The service and staff were all 5 star, we had a hiccup and ended up at the train station without our passports and went back to retrieve them after we checked out and NO PROBLEM! The room was quiet and very clean, breakfast was made to order eggs, fruit,pastries and coffee, tea juice. Table service with a smile. The gorgeous veranda did not have a view but made up in ambiance. The location to main medina was perfect, I highly recommend this riad. ”

“This is a beautiful Riad in the middle of the Medina, a 3-minute walk to souks and another 5 minutes to the main square and endless rows of souks and shopping. “A well presented Riad offering good value for money that is offset from the main Souk areas. Breakfast was pleasant and plentifully. A very short walk from the Riad takes you directly into the noise and motorbike exhaust fumes or the Souk. Staff were very professional and helpful and are an asset to the Riad. Watch out for the Marrakech scam when arriving in the taxi drop off area. You will be flooded with young Moroccan men offering to take you to the Riad only to be taken to the locked...

“I highly recommend Riad La Cigale. It’s in a prime location in the old city with excursions leaving close by. The rooftop is a good place to relax if you have the time. The staff are very trustworthy, friendly and so helpful. The breakfast is well prepared and a great bonus.”

“The staff was excellent. Helpful (I needed rice for a drowned cell phone), cheerful (always smiling!) and thorough (my room was spotless and the bed always made. The riad is just enough off the footpaths to be quiet at night. Room was cosy, linens clean and soft. I would definitely stay in the future. I was there for a business trip when all the main and conference hotels were booked and I had the best place to stay of all my colleagues. ”

“The riad is beautiful but missing some amenities like spa, indoor spaces, bar or restaurant. The hotel is a 3 star hotel and this is the service you will be offered. A little over priced overall for what you really get. The breakfast was ok, I really loved the cakes. The riad, rooms are beautifully detailed. ”

“It would have been nice to have bottles of water replaced in our room every day we stayed, rather than just day 1. Our toilet was not flushing so reported it and it was fixed straight away, only thing was that the bath mat was soaking wet and they left it on top of the bed! When we arrived we were not greeted with complimentary drinks as we saw other guests were greeted with drinks (Moroccan tea). “Wat een fantastische ervaring bij Medina d’Or in Marrakesh! 🌿 Het personeel is ontzettend behulpzaam, echt niets is te veel gevraagd. Je voelt je er meteen welkom en goed verzorgd. De riad zelf is proper, rustig en een heerlijke plek om tot rust te komen na een dag in de stad. Bovendien ligt het op wandelafstand van het levendige Jma el-Fna plein, wat ideaal is om alles makkelijk te verkennen. We hebben hier echt prachtige dagen doorgebracht. Absoluut een aanrader voor wie Marrakesh bezoekt!”
