LOUD, CRAMPED, AND LOUD

Please let me say that I booked this in a hurry, my first choice having been sold out. I wanted to stay near the Mindil Beach Sunset Market. When we arrived we found there was no private bathrooms, just a community one. The place was occupied by dozens of young French-speaking people on holiday who used the entire outside as their party area until well into the night. It was a Saturday, and there was a big music festival going on just down the road, but I would still wager a guess that you should not stay here unless you are under 25 and looking to stay up all night.

Dear Expedia Sirs, good afternoon. I would like to give you a very objective point of view about this place. this place is basically abandoned, some rooms remains open by hours / days totally untended, I was there 1 week ago, going there recurrently to get the refund and nobody arrives there, is a creepy place, and you should stop immediately to offer this like an option. in fact in front of the property there was a property sold / action sign. The swimming pool is dirty, and the garden is has not been properly treated, looks like left a side by several month ago.... please I really appreciate you can provide me an email address or Expedia point of contact to help to get my payment back and give you the details and photographs of evidence that I was there really, in fact, I left them a note with my telephone number and email, and nobody contact me back, reserve number was 7473817795383

Ideal place to stay. Close to Botanical Gardens and airport. Manager very helpful, came in early to let us leave our luggage, and arranged taxi to airport for early departure.

We did not stay there!!

Arrived to find out one had to share toilet facilities. My wife is 77 years old and a type one diabetic, who needs to visit the toilet regularly during the night. We booked at Barramundi Lodge not knowing that. The manager was not helpful at all ....just said we would lose our money, which we did!! I have sent several emails to Wotif and had no replies. Good short stay budget option for family

We are a family of 5 ( 2 adults ,kids 3,6&7 yo) who stayed for 1 night before flight home. We fitted neatly in family room 1 dbl and 1 dbl bunk. Room had kitchenette and TV . Shared bathroom was fine. Kids spent hours in the pool / BBQ area. The manager was excellent, welcoming and helpful.

Close to Mindel Beach Markets, that's it

What is shown on line is not what you get when you arrive. The whole place is so run down and needs a lot of work. Only one toilet/shower for each level is a bit rich, and unhealthy. In my room was no hot water tap, blown lighting, inoperative window treatments. TV kept on pixulating and turning off. The noise adjoining room(s) were permitted to omit unacceptable noise until 3:00am. Sorry, this will not be my choice for future stays.

Good Backpackers/ bad hotel

Last time I visited Darwin I got a cheap hotel deal in a four star hotel for the same amount I paid to stay at this place!! Unfortunately not so lucky this time. In all fairness this is a good backpackers, however, I am not sure if it is down to lastminute or the place themselves, but it is marketed as a hotel. It is not a hotel!! I was very disappointed to discover that the bathroom was separate, the room was tiny and the TV didn't work.

Great Wifi

We stayed a night in the Family room. Great kitchen families in the room. The room was cramped, with 5 beds and a large dinning table. The Wifi AMAZING!!! the best of anywhere we stayed. Shared bathrooms not idea. A mix of long and short stay people in hotel block was a little creepy, but every one was polite and pleasant.

an oasis in town

very friendly, lovely place.( a bit like an oasis in the desert) it is a little bit off beat with a camp kitchen and a kitchen in side the big house. chooks running around. the villas are comfortable with the eating area on the veranda, ac sleeping room with on-suit. you don't think that your in/near the middle of town. very relaxing stay.

Wouldn't stay ever again

It started from the start only 1 person working and just started so not all their fault. The picture on the ad looks nice but that's where it stopped. We finally got to our room and they had to make sure we had a bin, on the way to the room there was washing hanging over the rails from fifo people looked messy. No real cooking facilities so to speak of from what there was it was dirty and only 1 bowl 1 plate and heaps of rusty knives, forks and spoons. From when we got in the room we felt dirty we couldn't wait to leave.

1)The accommodation is totally different to the photographs as shown. 2) Clients will have to share the toilets. 3) Not clean.
