The Marriott at the University of Dayton was clean and looked like it had been recently renovated.
Some staff were very helpful and friendly, others were less so.
The light in my bathroom shower was out and couldn't be repaired that day, so showering was a dark experience! But since my stay was short, I decided to deal with it.
I would have liked to have had a microwave in my room, (to make hot tea) as I often have in other Marriotts and hotels I've stayed in. There was a small fridge, which was helpful.
Water is $6 per 1 liter bottle at the lobby "market" which seemed like a rip-off, especially since there weren't any other places I could find in the immediate area where I could get less expensive water.
My room had a door to a connecting room (though it was locked), and I could hear things in the other room alarmingly clearly, probably due to the noticeable gap at the bottom of the door.
A nice bonus was that the TV could stream YouTube (for free) so I set it to play white noise to drown out other noises.
I realize this review sounds rather negative! The most important thing I want from a hotel is cleanliness and relative newness, and this hotel delivered in those aspects.
I would consider staying here again, though next time I would ask for a non-connecting room, and bring my own water!
