"A fabulous hotel close to Ostend Railway station. Lovely spacious rooms with a seperate wc and a bathroom/shower room. I even had a balcony. The room had a Nespresso machine and a kettle. There was a room safe and an iron and ironing board in the room. There was a large TV with an extensive choice of channels. Also a Roberts radio. There was a fridge in the room and they had complimentary water. The breakfast in the morning was excellent with plenty of choice. There was a large bar as well with a well stocked line of drinks. A great place to stay with friendly staff."
"Only thing I could complain about was the bed me and my partner rolling into the centre of the bed a bit of a dip in the mattress but overall it was nice little place to stay a night I would stay again "
"My wife and I came here as part of our anniversary celebration. We were looking forward to a comfortable, learning experience. This is our first time in this part of France but 2nd time in France. You would think that this hotel being in a worldwide historic destination(Dunkirk) that the hotel staff would at least think of visitors that maybe coming from other parts of the world. They failed. They did not accommodate our visit whatsoever. From the initial greeting, I sensed that we were intruding their hotel. There was no sense of welcoming... no sense of warmth that is usually present in places of hospitality. Our stay was anything but hospitable & enjoyable. We couldn't wait to leave. The French are known for their indifference, lack of warmth, and lack of civility... this French hotel staff succeeded in all three. Simple requests were met hesitation, indifference and rudeness. I could go on and on.
I will never come back to this place and will advise those in my circle not to come here... or France for that matter as both of my visits to France were anything but enjoyable."
"I stayed at Hotel Cocoon in Ostend for one night. The room itself was nice and a good size, and the location is definitely a strong point—right on the beach and very close to plenty of restaurants and bars.
However, there were a few issues that affected the stay. The room was quite cold and the thermostat didn’t seem to be working, which made it uncomfortable overnight. The shower gel bottle was also empty and hadn’t been refilled, which was a bit disappointing. Parking is available, but at €30 per night per car, it felt quite expensive.
The overall atmosphere of the hotel wasn’t particularly welcoming, which took away from the experience a bit.
Overall, it’s a well-located hotel with decent rooms, but a few improvements and attention to detail would make a big difference."
