Denpasar, Bali hotel rooms at the Anantara

"Had a brief 2 night stay before departing Bali. Great looking Hotel, both interior and exterior. We stayed in a pool access room. The room was large, clean, comfortable and very quiet. The pool was very nice, however, there were no actual steps from the room balcony into the pool so you simply sit and slide feet first into the pool, getting out is a bit of a problem if you are not all that mobile or strong in the upper Body as you have to haul yourself up over the side of the pool ( didn’t worry me but wife was not keen, as not really flattering, especially when you get older) but there are access stairs on the opposite side of the pool, which you can then walk back to your room. Breakfast was OK and included in nightly rate. The Hotel is located on a main road and it’s about a 15 min flat walk to Icon shopping centre and beach cafe walk. We really enjoyed our stay at the Grand Palace Hotel and for the price it would be very hard to beat and I would be happy to stay here again "

"This was our fourth stay for myself and my son at the Mercure Resort Sanur for another fantastic family holiday. The hotel and rooms are clean with ample amenities and comfy beds. The gardens are stunning, strolling out from your room each morning into them is a real treat and brilliant way to start a relaxing day. There are ample restaurants nearby with loads of choice, even for my fussy 8yo! Each year we come back is better and better, can’t wait to visit again!"

"Lovely staff. Good food and drinks from the beach bar. Comfortable bed. The room was not very well lit- there is no light on the roof over the bedroom. Juice at breakfast was very artificial. Some amenities feel old and run-down. Staff were not very responsive when I was trying to message and call via WhatsApp in an emergency, but did help me with my issue once I did manage to make contact. The hotel is near the end of the Sanur strip- I would have preferred to stay further up"

"Really lovely resort on a nice clean beach. Room was excellent with a massive comfy bed, nice sofa bed on balcony and everything you’d need or want. They provided a lot of complimentary bottled water too. I was only here for one night so didn’t have time to experience a lot of the hotel facilities but the breakfast was great and pool/bar are very nice too. I hope to come back again for a longer stay. "

"Great location in Sanur just a few minutes walk to Icon shopping mall if you're into that, lots of local coffee shops and restaurants as well as the tourist trap souvenir shops. The staff on the whole are very friendly and helpful we found the staff not as attentive when we were down on the sun lounges on the beach. Breakfast was included in our package, there was plenty of options to choose from, eggs which ever way you wanted, bacon, chicken sausages, different pastries, cold meats fresh fruits and plenty more."
