“The staff were great and the breakfast was better than expected. It wasnt just muffins and coffee, and we had options for waffles, eggs, biscuits and gravy, etc. The rooms are a bit outdated but clean. The biggest complaint was the incredibly musty smell in our room. We believe it was the AC uniit. We were so desperate for fresh air that we put car air fresheners on the AC vents to try to mask it.”

“My complaints were minimal and no doubt due to the fact that I am a senior traveler. My stay was also very short, just overnight to sleep and out the door the next morning at 5am. I was able to tap into their WiFi and that was good. Hope to spend more time with other guests on my next visit.”

“I travel for work so I have stayed in some pretty questionable places however this was by far the worst. This place needs a lot of work. It has potential however at this time I would never recommend this place for anyone.”

“Cleaner than expected of "by Wyndham" properties. Host was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good.”

The bed also did not have a proper duvet cover, just an insert covered by sheets, which was disappointing for a...

“We really enjoyed our stay at The Front Porch. Rooms were very clean and the bed was very comfortable. John and Jill were fantastic hosts and the breakfast was amazing. It's an old house with a lot of history and it has a great atmosphere. Excelsior Springs is a historic residential area and has dozens of mineral springs. It also has local wineries, vineyards, restaurants, boutiques and shops. We would definitely recommend this Bed & Breakfast.”

“Great place to stay! Enjoyed it very much”
