“House keeping older Hispanic lady. Excellent cleaning and details to room. Mataniece still has not replaced t.v. in room. They saw screen is black on 1 side. Needs to be replaced.”

“They switched to a TV cable network hard for old people to get their channels. Phone in room did not work unable to call the desk. Had to wait 15 minutes before someone s howed up at the desk.”

“I’ve never stayed at a bare bone extended stay hotel. Didn’t really understand that this is what it was. But it was clean and the general manager, Nicole, handle everything with the utmost professionalism! She was very friendly and helpful and made us feel welcome!! Wood springs would be very fortunate to have more managers like Nicole!”

“I was travelling with a pet for a one-night stay. I booked through Expedia. The listing stated that the hotel was pet friendly, but did not state that there was an additional $25.00 pet fee per night. I found this out from the clerk who checked me in. I was not happy about that, but I paid it. The grounds were not great for pets. There was not much grassy area for pet bathroom breaks and no bags available to pick up pet waste. The side entrance nearest to my room did not open with the key card,...

“I would definitely stay here again. There was plenty to choose from at the breakfast station. Nice location also.”

“The pool was closed. This was very disappointing bc it was the main reason we booked. The staff was friendly but he didn't know when the pool would be opened up. Standing near the pool door you could smell stinky water.”

“Fine option for the price, although the road in and approach to the hotel suggests a lesser experience. I’d stay again but wouldn’t recommend it to most people I know.”

“Clean linens, but there was still hair in the shower, the jacuzzi felt like you were going to fall through it when you were standing in the shower, and the external part of the jacuzzi where it covers the motor was falling off of the tub/wall. The shower wall (plaster) was falling apart, and it was questionable as to if we would find used needles on the carpet based off of the feel of the hotel. Anywhere we went, we were eyed like we were going to get mugged, and we weren't even dressed fancy.”

“Stayed here before so was not expecting to have negative experience, however this stay was different. Upon arrival I was added to the wrong room type. My key cards constantly stopped working each day leaving and my room was not cleaned even upon asking staff and a housekeeper. Customer service was also not great upon voicing concerns staff made me feel like they had no knowledge of what went wrong no accountability and made me feel like it was something i did wrong. Won't return”

“I liked so much. There was so much to see.”

“The rear door from the parking lot was locked open providing no security. The pool was unfilled in mid-June, the cover was ripped and the leaves and debris filling it was a mosquito invested green swamp. The staff was great but the owner/management needs to make maintenance and security a priority. I wouldn't have stayed if I knew the pool and door were inoperable. The staff and ease of access to the highway are this locations redeeming qualities.”

“There is a storage trailer in the parking lot that looks like it's been there for years, a homeless camp out back behind the pool(which was filled with green water), and a bare minimum breakfast.”

“Our room was very clean. The halls had a mildew smell. The pool was not open, which was not an issue for us, but a lot of other guests were pretty upset about that. It’s in a great location that’s under construction, so my thought is that the current hotel will be updated soon.”

“I always stay at this hotel when traveling to Winston-Salem. The location couldn’t be better with Hanes mall across the street as well as many many restaurants and more stores down Hanes Mall Blvd, including Costco which is handy for getting gas! The staff is awesome from the front desk to the dining rooms and cleaning staff! They were always friendly and asking me if I needed anything.
