I have too many positive things to say to list them all. This is honesty the best lodging experience of my life. Great room. Great food. Peacocks! The best service in the know universe. Sample discontinued rare Scotch in the whisky room. If you find yourself in Edinburgh, stay at Prestonfield House. You won't regret it.

The only downside to this property really was the lack of air conditioning. It was extremely humid when we were there and no way to remove the humidity from the room. But it wasn't hot or anything, so not a big deal. The staff was super nice, the breakfast was great, everything worked well. I especially loved how declining service came with a perk or a charity donation.

Simply great. Exceptional service. Walking distance to downtown.

This is an exceptional hotel. The location is very near the royal mile. I really liked how it is built into the side of the hill. We were able to use the 4th floor exit at the top and the 1st floor at the bottom of the hill. I will always try to stay at the Royal Scotsman when I return to Edinburgh!

Nira Caledonia is one of the Small Luxury Hotels and one of only two listed for Scotland. It is a venue that has not forgotten that they exist to serve customers and they do this in a fashion I had long feared extinct. If you're in Edinburgh, the Le Monde Hotel is THE place to stay. We stayed for a week with part of our family - a group of 16 people in 4 apartments. We had two 3 bedroom and two 2 bedroom apartments. All of the apartments were spacious, clean and well decorated. The 3 bedroom apartments were great for the family to congregate in, especially apartment #31 which has an especially large living area.
