“This is our go-to hotel when want a few days away. It’s location is perfect for visits to Cheddar Gorge, Wookey Hole, Bath and many of the other beautiful area’s around this hotel. The staff are really lovely and nothing is too much trouble. The food was really good and has a varied menu to suit all tastes. Our room was spacious, comfortable and clean. “Our 2nd stay . The general condition of the hotel is in need of tlc, but we really enjoyed our stay , bed comfy ,room spacious . Food very good and the staff were friendly and helpful. Not far to walk to the beach .”

“Our room was lovely, very spacious and clean. The bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom was clean and well stocked. It was very quiet at night too, no banging doors, although not sure if it was because the hotel itself was quiet. The only negative was that the room was incredibly hot at night. We had to have the windows open quite wide overnight. ”

“Excellent hotel near the M6 junction. Hotel is clean and well maintained with a large car park. It looks like the hotel was recently refurbished. The room and ensuite bathroom was clean and well maintained. The leisure club has a good sized pool, spa pool and sauna. This is looks newly reburbished. “Rooms were not cleaned to a very good standard, lots of bits on the floors, behind sofa and beds. Very dusy in bathroom on window cill. Mirrors were very streaky. Room smelt very musty on arrival even though the windows were left open before we arrived.”

“When I went to check in the person behind the counter told me I did not have a reservation. This then began a series of events that caused significant stress. My phone was out of power as was my lap top. I took my lap top to a neighboring hotel where I was able to see I DID have a reservation. That person was not there when I returned but check in was fine. When I eventually saw the person in question he said I must have made the reservation that day with no apology”

“Our stay was for only one night and overall was a very pleasant stay. We opted for the Cereal breakfast which in our mind equated to a continental style breakfast. Unfortunately there were no croissants or ham and cheese, just a bit of toast and some jam / honey plus cereal mainly from packets. Very disappointing especially since I had noticed the bakery van arrive earlier that morning. Overall a lovely hotel has let itself down with an uninspiring attempt at breakfast.”
