Temple Views | Wat Lok Moli: With more than 300 temples in Chiang Mai, pretty much anywhere you wander around the city you are bound to run into one. Wat Lok Moli is located just outside the northwestern wall of Chiang Mai Old City. The date the temple was built is not clear but it’s said the first structures were likely built during the 14th century. The viharn, seen here is where the image of Buddha is kept. At the end of the 18th century Chiang Mai was abandoned and the temple fell into ruin leaving the only original structures remaining being the chedi and the brick foundation of the ubosot or ordination hall.
