"This hotel is in a great location. Parking is nearby for 40€ for three days. Or 25€ per day. We found it to be quiet. The staff were not the friendliest bunch but they did their job. Seemed clean enough. It’s fine for a night or two. Not really special or stand out in anyway. If you’ve seen pictures that looks like the room is in a basement it’s because the windows are very small and look at a brick wall. Even though we were on a high floor we couldn’t tell the weather at all. I didn’t...

"Great hotel located just 10-15 minute walk from some fantastic Roman ruins (including a stunningly well preserved arena/colosseum and temple). The room was spacious - well designed and clean as well as a nice mix of modern and vintage. The staff was very attentive and helpful. "

"Je séjourne régulièrement dans des hôtels/gîtes/etc à titre professionnel et pour l'occasion il s'agissait d'un séjour romantique avec mon épouse et je ne vous cache pas ma déception quant à la qualité de l'accueil (stricte minimum) et la qualité de l'hébergement qui malgré un fort potentiel laisse à désirer car insuffisamment entretenu. Sans parler du manque de climatisation qui en pleine été s'est bien fait sentir. Quel dommage. Je ne recommande pas cet établissement. "

"The property is absolutely lovely with a beautiful courtyard and a communal lounge area. The location cannot be beaten, you can see Les Arenes at the end of the street and it's just 5 minutes walk to anywhere in the city centre of Nîmes. It is a safe and quiet area too. Our room was spacious, well decorated and very clean. The bed was very comfortable and we slept well. The host of the property, Jean-Luc, was so warm and welcoming. He gave us great advice on the area and even booked us a table...

"On our visit to the south of France we decided to stop in Nîmes overnight to see the temples and Roman Coliseum. We chose Hotel de l’Ampitheatre for its proximity to the train station and the sights, and high ratings. We were not disappointed. The staff is friendly and helpful, the hotel is clean and charming, and the breakfast is fresh and delicious. It felt like a lovely little Inn. If we travel to Nîmes again, we will not hesitate to return to this hotel"
