“Rooms were clean. The only complaint I had was the place was too cold.”

“Our stay was great, only downside the photos and name of the hotel are deceiving, the photos of what we thought our room would be were not and it’s not the hotel in the corner it’s the one next to it called temple house village, the keys need to be picked up at a different location, interesting they had a mini fridge in the bathroom and a communal hallway microwave, but the room was clean , everyone was super nice, we had a great time.”

“When we arrived it was about 10:30 at night our first room smelled so bad we couldn't stay in it we asked if there was another room which the staff was very helpful with and got us another room. Unfortunately the second room the AC barely worked and went kicked on it was incredibly loud. Most likely the AC wasn't able to keep up so the whole room smelled damp as well. We would have gone somewhere else had there been any other options. The hot tub is also boarded over just as an FYI.”

“The property, although older, was incredibly well maintained. Everybody on the staff from the front desk, breakfast server, to the housekeeping were warm and friendly. Considering our over all cost for a nine day stay, I think we got more than we paid for just due to the hospitality of everybody we engaged. Highly recommend if looking for a nice comfortable place your head for a day or more! 100%”

“The food was wonderful and very fresh! The beds were very comfortable! Each room is thermostatically controlled and has its own charm. The floors and stairs are creaky but adds to the charm of an old home. Laurie is such a great host! We enjoyed her company very much! She made our stay so nice! We would definitely stay there again!”

The house is old and beautiful, my curiosity of growing up near this property made me want to stay here instead of Hampton Inn. The access to the living and dining room was appealing because my family still lives in keokuk and we don’t have anywhere big enough to relax and visit together.
