"The hotel is beautiful and next to the river. You can rent e-bikes to ride around. Their restaurant is very nice overlooking the Douro River. Be aware that transportation to/from the hotel is limited as there are nearly no taxis in town and they only accept cash."

The staff was nice but it seems they were understaffed and simple requests took longer than other hotels I stayed at in Portugal. "In its design, this is certainly a concept hotel, which makes it both appealing and rather different. Wayfinding about the hotel was strange and difficult, though our suite was spacious and the staff extremely friendly.
