"Ship this place. Bathroom had 1/3 full bottle of mouthwash. Nightstand sticky. Arrived exhausted around 8pm. Request for accessible room had no walk-in shower was not met so I went back to first floor. Front desk worker rude & mgr said there were “diff types of accessible rooms.” Mgr “upgraded” me to the unclean rm, which also had peeling paint on bathroom ceiling. Really questionable neighborhood. Two unkempt people appeared to be loitering outside door in the dark. They offered to help with luggage. I declined. Later saw both of them waiting for elevator. Sat down & waited for next one. "

"the best part about this hotel is the convenience. it's in close proximity/walking distance to everything. the worst part is the lack of parking. the hotel has no parking but there are several parking garages nearby and street parking. both of which you have to pay separately for. the neighborhood is loud and shady. contrary to other reviews i read i did not encounter any bed bugs, roaches or rats, but the cleanliness is definitely lacking. the beds were comfortable but the property itself definitely needs some better upkeep. not the worst hotel I've ever stayed in but far from the best. it's downtown Baltimore, so expect inner city living for sure. iykyk. didn't exactly feel safe leaving the hotel at night but during the day was fine. to sum it up, you get what you pay for. no serious complaints but nothing to rave about either. "

"Had a great stay at the Royal Sonesta in Baltimore! Tony from valet service was especially nice and very helpful from the moment we arrived. The front desk staff were friendly and efficient, making check-in smooth and easy. Our room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, and the location was absolutely perfect. Overall, a wonderful experience — I’d definitely stay here again!"

"The one tip I’d give to the hotel is shut down or actually put effort into the places people sleep and not just the lobby. I’ve stayed a motels that were better than this. They actually had working plugs and a hair dryer. A lot of motels have nicer bathrooms as well. The drain took so long to drain. The worst part is when checking in we heard the workers say to each other “I don’t think anyone can clean the rooms tonight”. There was one ceiling light in the corner of our room and a bulb was missing from a lamp. "

"The hotel staff were wonderful. Check in and check out was easy. The key card system seems a bit outdated and didn’t always want to work. Our room did not have hot water at all, and at first I thought it may be due to the hotel being booked for a concert. I tried to run it a couple more times (once more through the night and early in the morning) but it wouldn’t heat up. It seems the hotel may need some upgrades so that may have been the problem. It’s very close to the arena so that was a bonus but for $300 after having to pay for the parking garage I wasn’t really thrilled with it. The hotel discount for parking was a perk. "

"You have to reserve for the pool and will only get 1 hr slots. Pool is on the smaller size. Breakfast was very standard. Valet parking seemed affordable and was quick with bringing car to front door. Lots of food shops near by. Was very kid friendly and offers a pack and play as crib. "
