I stayed one night at this hotel. The rooms were a little sparse in the decoration category, however, the rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. The hotel was very quiet and I got a good nights sleep. The staff at the front desk were extremely helpful and nice.

I didn’t realize when I booked that our room was poolside. We had no plans of using the pool and it was quite noisy. But! At 10 pm, it completely quieted down and we slept well. The smell of chlorine was strong but we made due. The bed was comfortable room was adequate

This property is in the process of being renovated, but until it's complete I will not stay here again. Room was in very poor repair. Soft floors under the old, worn, dirty carpet. No accessible outlets at the head of the beds without moving the mattress. Fixtures worn, terrible wifi service in the room I was in. Given the condition of this property, I'm surprised they didn't just push it over and build new. Access and parking are also poorly configured. They are rebranding to Baymont by Wyndham, and that's what the signage says above the door.

Staff at front desk was very welcoming. Rooms were very clean. They have a fridge and microwave. Beds are quite firm but not uncomfortable. Pillows are very comfy. Overall we enjoyed our stay here.

The 5 star rating is based off price of room. If this was double the price would have been a lower rating. With that aside. Was exactly what i expected. Nice pool area for the kids. Rooms available for pool area. Sliding door from room to pool area. Also rooms that over look the pool area. I would bring the kids here again. We had a good experience.

The property is in need of updating. The mattresses were uncomfortable and the blankets were not heavy enough for the cold room. Parking lot is also in need of some major repair. It’s a very convenient location for us when traveling this area.

Property undergoing renovation. Room was clean. Staff was friendly. Bed blankets were old and worn. Curtains had holes in blackout fabric. Heat unit looked like it had been through a war. Overall, it is a well worn hotel. However, it is being changed to Baymont so it will all be updated and made fresh.

This definitely isn’t a new property and has changed hands a few times as evident by previous chain names appearing in places within the property. However, all public spaces including the lobby, breakfast area, and pool are well-maintained and clean, as well as our room. There are a few amenities that are located in the building but are not available (whirlpool, sauna, guest laundry) but I don’t believe they are advertised, so no loss there. We were told upon check-in that there wouldn’t be housekeeping during our stay because of a staff shortage but they make it clear we could ask for anything we needed at the desk. I did end up stopping at the desk with a couple questions/requests and they were very helpful and polite. My family was in town for a short weekend stay to see the sights of Duluth and this motel made it easy to get to and from where we wanted to be with quick access to the freeway at a reasonable price (for a clean motel with a pool). As a bonus, we had a room with patio door access to outside, overlooking the city. A side-note feature I liked was the beds sitting on box frames so you don’t have to worry about losing items under the bed. The mattresses are quite firm. Overall, I would definitely stay here again.

The walls of this hotel are paper thin and the building is saying so doors are not flush which means sounds travel through the walls very easily. Do not stay here unless necessary.

The parking is a bit confusing but they were super accommodating even trying to give me a comfortable room on the main floor as i was staying after a procedure they let us check in early so we didn’t have to check in after my procedure amazing place

The staff was super friendly and accommodating. The pool area was much nicer than I expected! I believe the pool was heated, or I was just so excited to swim in February that I didn’t care- either way loved the pool. Rooms were spacious and quiet. I really enjoyed my stay here

The property was extremely dated, however, was under construction. The construction area wasn’t segmented from available rooms i.e.; construction materials lying in the hallway, open doors approximately 10, not shielded off from the tenants. The fitness room and hot tub were also under construction. None of which was advertised upon booking the room. The steps leading into the building had settled and had a dangerous down slope to them, as well as the parking lot being on a hill. When I asked the Hostess about a possible discount, as the construction was not advertised, she said they had already discounted property. A search of surrounding hotels revealed approximately 10 at a price lower than I paid at this hotel. With the condition of the hotel and the laissez-faire attitude of staff and general uncleanliness, I would definitely not recommend this hotel.

Noise from the hallways and anything upstairs would shake through the building, was fairly loud until about 10-10:30 pm and started right back up around 6-6:30, I realize that it was under a construction remodel in which they were very upfront about but this was a Saturday evening stay through Sunday morning, no construction going on just constantly loud traffic up and down the hallways. Other than that it was fine.
