"We booked a two room suite which was great. Property is showing its age but we feel it adds to the charm. Breakfast was ok, but Harry’s restaurant a little hit and miss. Having said that, staff were most accommodating when we mentioned we were heading a show and prioritised our dinners. Happy hour is great."

"I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The staff were friendly and professional, and the room was clean, comfortable and well presented. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. My only concern was the way my credit card was handled at check-in. My card was photocopied without my permission or any explanation. Given the increasing prevalence of scams, identity theft and data breaches, I found this concerning, as it unnecessarily puts guests’ financial information at risk. When I raised my concerns, the photocopy was returned to me, which I appreciated. I was also surprised that $100 was charged to my card rather than a pre-authorisation hold being placed. As an international guest from New Zealand, this meant I could have been out of pocket due to exchange rate fluctuations when the refund was processed. Most hotels now use pre-authorisations, which protect both the hotel and the guest without creating this issue. This isn’t a criticism of the staff, who were excellent throughout my stay. I simply hope the hotel reviews its credit card security procedures, as a hotel of this size should have more secure payment practices in place. Aside from this concern, I had a very enjoyable stay."
