East Railay was the uglier and dirtier side of Railay - that’s where the ferries come in and out, and the tide changes throughout the day leaving behind some trash in the sand. Not a great place to swim, but if you get a hotel on this side you can easily reach Railay West in 10 min walking.
Mangroves. Interesting to look at but not a swimming beach. Great for pictures, especially from the south-end, looking back at the curve of the bay and the karsts beyond the hotels and shops.
