Unforgettable experience
We stayed at the camp for 2 days. The staff is exceptional and goes out of their way to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. Thank you Cheryl and Ashley for making our stay incredible! We will cherish this experience and wonderful memories for the rest of our lives. The food was amazing and on par with fine dining. As a guest, you are offered options at the mini bar in your tent or the main guest house. The tents are a bit rustic but very comfortable with all the necessary amenities. You are in the middle of nowhere. If you are planning to drive to the camp yourself, we recommend renting an SUV. One has to drive about 10 miles on a dirt road from the main entrance which can get rough. While the accommodations are not cheap, as other stated this is one in a lifetime experience worth every penny.

This is a one of a kind experience that is simply incredible. The main lodge is historic built in 1828 with a beautiful back deck overlooking a watering hole that animals come to day and night. You can’t get closer than this. Sleeping accommodations in wonderful tents with king bed and attached bathroom. Private garden and swimming pool near lodge. Price includes lunch, high tea, dinner and breakfast and all fantastic on menus designed for you, as well as 2x 3 hr rides to see wildlife, which includes rhino, buffalo, lions and elephants. This is a magical experience and you will be in awe. Service and staff truly wonderful.

Magical
This place is magical!! The main house was built in 1823 and some of the furniture is from the same era with amazing carvings. The tent we stayed in is spacious with everything you need. Comfortable bed and most amazing are the animals hanging outside your room. The staff makes you feel like royalty. Couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Gorah is a nice camp. it's located inside Addo with a waterhole and lots of animals. The management of the camp is not flexible as they were not able to organize a bush walk for us in three days. All the time only excuses. As we skipped a drive it was not possible to get at 7:30 AM an expresso as the machine has to warm up for 30 minutes. Food is ok but nothing special. The venison was just eatable. The camp is also charging extra for a glass of wine during dinner. Don't stay more than two days as drives are repeating. We had a really good guide and enjoyed the drives. Don't stay in tent 5 as it's very noisy at certain times. Lots of cars are moving around.Value for money is not there however we enjoyed very much the stay at Gorah.

Situé au milieu de la savane devant un point d'eau très fréquenté. Accueil chaleureux, zones communes et terrasses décorées avec goût électricité limitée et dans une ambiance "Out of Africa". La chambre/tente est magnifique, très spacieuse avec une vue à couper le souffle sur la savane. Les repas et les en-cas sont copieux, variés et raffinés malgré l'isolement extrême. Produits locaux mis en évidence. Le service est impeccable, le personnel est très attentionné et disponible. Avec Ray notre ranger nous avons pu découvrir la savane, ses animaux de toutes tailles et leurs traces. Nous avons eu les explications précieuses d'un passionné amoureux de la nature. Inoubliable. Le peu de chambres limite les véhicules ce qui permet un parcours au calme et une grande tranquillité pour les animaux.

Wunderschönen, intime Anlage mitten im National Park. Die Zelte als auch das Haupthaus sind stilvoll und komfortabel eingerichtet. Das Essen abwechlungsreich und geschmacklich sehr gut. Excellent Safara Accomoodatin in PE area
It was an awesome experience to finish our holiday in South Africa at Gorah. Sleeping in luxury tents in the wild was something that me and my family will never forget. Accommodation was fantastic, service was out of this world, the staff were so friendly and helpful. Gorah may be a little more expensive than other places, however the experience is totally worth it. Look forward to visiting again.

Es hätte nicht schöner sein können. Schon beim Frühstück sieht man bereits mehr Tiere direkt am Wasserloch vor der Terrasse als im öffentlich zugänglichen Teil des Parks. Highlight waren die 3-4 stündigen Game Drives. Unser Ranger Marco war einfach nur top und hat ein AAA Ratlng verdient! Jederzeit gerne wieder!

Worth your money, really.
Where should I begin, everything was amazing. From the game to the service, my mom and I were amazed by the thorough consideration and service there. You are ACTUALLY taken care of very well there. The tent was amazing. Even though we didn't get much sleep from the animals chatting at night and lion soaring 6km away, but hey that was what we went for and love it! They also planned 2 games for you morning and evening. It was such a fantastic experience!

In der Lodge wird man von Anfang an verwöhnt und immer wieder mit Kleinigkeiten überrascht, die einem den Aufenthalt versüßen. Am Wasserloch kann man die Tiere beobachten und am Pool kann man nach der Safari relaxen.

Der Aufenthalt war eines der Highlights auf unserer Reise von Cape town nach PE über die Garden Route! Unglaublich war bereits die Anreise zum Camp wo wir die ersten Elefanten gesehen haben!! Der Empfang war toll und erst der Blick in unser Zelt- einfach sensationell!!! Die beiden Ausfahrten mit dem Jeep das nächste Highlight - mit dem Glück, dass wir Löwen gesehen haben! Das Abendessen war dann der krönende Abschluss!!! Aus unsere Sicht ein MUSS wenn man den Addo Park erleben möchte.

Eine sehr gut geführte Anlage im Wildpark. Zelt-Häuser mit allem Komfort, schöne Poolanlage, wunderbare Küche und vor allem, jederzeit freundliches Personal. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt und danken vor allem unserem Guide für seine Umsichtigkeit, sein Wissen auf den morgendlichen und nachmittäglichen Touren. Gorah war ein besonderes Highlight auf unserer Tour!

Elephants came up to the verandah
An almost flawless establishment. Eleven thatched permanent tents perched above an authentic old farmstead, now exquisitely restored with atmospheric old prints, lanterns, rugs. Zebra, hartebeest, ostriches came down from the rolling hills to the waterhole beneath the verandah--where extraordinary food was served throughout the day. A hearty breakfast after the morning drive; a light lunch of homemade delicacies and a rainbow of fruit; high tea with scones. Dinner was served on solid mahogany tables in a warren of rooms lit entirely by candles. The beds were huge, with comforting hot water bottles; his-and-hers basins in a well-equipped bathroom to the rear of the tents; everything spotless. A simple but sophisticated update of the safaris of yesteryear with every need catered for. The drives were run by friendly and sympathetic guides with boundless knowledge of the park and respect for all the creatures we met. I cannot recommend Gorah Elephant Camp highly enough.

Tolle Safari Erlebnisse
Wir haben eine super tolle Zeit im Gorah Elephant Camp gehabt. Die Luxus Zelte sind sehr komfortabel und wir konnten eine super Aussicht auf das Wasserloch geniessen. Die Drives mit unserem Ranger Courtney waren sensationell. Wir haben sehr viele Tiere gesehen und Courtney hatte viel Interessantes zu erzählen. Er hat an einem Abend den Drive ein bisschen verlängert und dadurch haben wir noch ein Nashorn zu sehen bekommen! Das Essen ist gut, der Service ok. Wir konnten die Zeit im Camp richtig geniessen, einzig die Chefin Louise würde gut daran tun, ein bisschen mehr Freundlichkeit und Gastfreundschaft auszustrahlen.

Uniquely Memorable Experience
From the time we first arrived at Gorah, we knew this would be an unforgettable experience, and were not disappointed. The lodge, tent, locale, staff, cuisine and service were all first rate. That is to say nothing of the experience at the Gorah Camp, where your neighbors are native elephants and wild animals, and the twice-a-day safaris, with interesting ‘ranger’ guides such as Devon, who was so knowledgeable and personable. Making friends with the other visitors as well added to overall experience. The many photos we took will make this adventure a lasting experience.
